Pretty solid episode. Only thing I didn't like was that the last scene of this episode was in the promo from last week. I think they should have held that back.
The ending was my personal highlight of the episode. They usually don't end an episode with a kill, so it was something different. And it was a pretty gruesome way to display the victim. Apart from that I'd also say it was solid. Nevertheless nothing to get excited about. But the promo for next week actually pretty good.
Great episode. From the previews it didn't look like much but it turned out very well.
- Walter Kenney is my favorite "bad guy of the week" of all time. That crotchety, bitter, old jerk was hilarious. I wish all of Dexter's weekly kills were as fun as this guy. I can't believe Dexter bought that guy beer and porn. - Deb being in charge is much more interesting than if it was Batista or LaGuerta. - The new guy already seems like a bit of a tool. - I'm almost convinced that Olmos' character is a figment of Hanks' imagination. - Masuka's assistant is going to be trouble for Dexter. She's another Lila West waiting to happen.
I get that feeling about Masuka's assistant too, there's something not right about her at all. I wonder if she knows someone from Dex's past, isn't there a spoiler about a returning character in ep 6?
Looks like I'm alone, but didn't enjoy the episode much. I'm not feeling it for Hanks at all I'm afraid, which is a shame because it's a very interesting set up :(
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Best episode this season in my opinion. Feels more like a season 1-4 episode. Which I approve of. :)

ReplyDeleteI actually liked the way they ended it. Thought it was new different from the usual. Definitely piqued my interest more for next week.

The ending was really creepy, I also like Dexter and the Tooth Fairy it terrified him to think he might end up bitter and alone

ReplyDeleteI try to avoid big Dexter spoilers but we're both in agreement that the assistant seems to have a case of the crazies.
ReplyDeleteOMG that ending! Its the most discusting and disturbing thing EVER
