- I can't believe the Commodore stroked out. I did not see that coming. I didn't see that smackdown coming either. That was messed up but I suppose he had it coming. - Chalky was really great in this episode. In his own way, he's the Nucky Thompson of the black community and the pressure seems to be getting to him. That dinner table scene was fantastic. - The Richard / Angela storyline is progressing just like I thought it would. - I'm having a hard time pinning down Margaret's motives for stashing all that cash. It seems like she's doing the same thing Carmela Soprano did on The Sopranos. She's worried about her future if Nucky gets convicted or killed so she's hatched her own back-up plan.
I still can't figure exactly what Margaret is up to either....... Does she have relatives she wants to find and support? A sibling in the wind... or is it like you said saving for a rainy day and an insurance policy of sorts....
At first I was not sure if I was going to like this new import Owen, but he is adding something quite fun as Nucky's new underling. A little IRA help is not such a bad thing for a man in a tight spot....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Great episode.

Agreed on all points.

Margaret's family situation is tough. She was really hurt when she made the call to New York and the person who answered said Margaret was dead.
ReplyDeleteI figure that nest egg is her own little life insurance policy or this is part of some kind of exit strategy.
So very, very smitten by the man in the mask. It just keeps getting better. This Sunday is going to be intense...
