Good episode. This episode moved along a lot better than the premiere. The power shift plot is moving along more quickly than I thought it would. Chalky and Margaret were both excellent, which is a large part of why I liked this better than last week.
I thought this episode was very, very, very good. I admit that I was a little disappointed with the premiere. I thought it was too slow. Episode two really picked the pace up. I thought the final three scenes were just top notch. Chalky's scene with Purnsley was one of the best scenes of the series. It really showed a stark contrast between the way Chalky operates compared to how Nucky does things. Chalky has people that are deeply loyal to him....Nucky only has a couple. The scene with Jimmy taking out the two robbers was totally bad ass!! Jimmy is my favorite character, and I just loved that whole scene from when he walks out and lights the cigarette to him walking away from the two would be robbers.....nice. Then, the final scene with Nucky and Margarette was a great ender. I like the direction that Margarette's character is taking.
I do worry, though because so much did happen in this episode....especially compared to the premiere. I hope they can keep the intensity up and not suffer a letdown.
As great as I thought this episode was and there wasn't even any Al Capone???!!!??? Wow.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
