EW has learned that Chris Elliott, Wayne Brady, Frances Conroy, and Bill Fagerbakke will be returning for the Oct. 24 episode, titled “Noretta.” Elliott will reprise his role as Lily’s estranged father, Mickey, while Conroy and Brady will reprise their roles as Barney’s mother and brother (just as I’d hoped!). Most interestingly, Marshall’s deceased father, played by Fagerbakke, is also scheduled to appear in the episode — although it is not immediately clear in what capacity he will return.

Loretta is obviously thinking Barney is faking a new girlfriend. Great to see Wayne Brady back. i wonder how Chris Elliot factors into all this as Lily's dad.

ReplyDeleteMarshall's father's back, I thought once he died we were finally rid of him, he annoyed me more than Marshall himself. It will be good to see Barney's brother and mother again though.

ReplyDeleteNora meets Barney's family. Lily and Marshall flashback to when they introduced each other to their own parents, or something similar.
ReplyDeleteI liked all those gueststars, but when will we meet the mother?!! So far, it doesn't really feel like the writers are going back to the main theme of the show.
