Grimm Reviews
Grimm, NBC's latest fall show, has been put into the Friday "death slot," usually an indication that a network doesn't believe in its freshman series. But NBC may actually be sticking with Grimm for the long haul. Either that or they're waiting for the second wave of shows audiences are anxious for (Awake, Smash). Truthfully, there's no indication they shouldn't be sticking with it for the long haul, anyhow. Grimm is the perfect Friday night fright. …

Awesome! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting,will watch!!
ReplyDeleteMY first impression of this from promos is that it looks so cheesy and downright bad - if not terrible. My gut tells me it will actually have potential if not end up being good. I just don't know if enough people will be able to move past their first impressions and tune in.....
ReplyDeleteGood to know yo thought it was decent and had potential! It gives me a little hope, but my expectations remain low.
Actually it wasn't cheesy in the slightest — well, with one exception, and this line was all over the promos: "I don't know how you did it, but you did." I remain really optimistic. And word all over Twitter/Tumblr from regular people like us is that it was really good; critics who have reviewed it already think otherwise. Also saw on Twitter that the lead is actually from a reality show, which could have meant he would be terrible but he's solid, too. He reminded me of Brandon Routh… but thankfully the similarities stop at physical appearance.
ReplyDeleteKeep the expectation low and then screen it! :D
klutzy_girl laura3341 Your welcome :)
ReplyDeleteI share DarqueMode's thoughts at first .. thanks for sharing your review.. Now, I look forward to watching this..
ReplyDeleteI thought it was Brandon Routh the first promo pic I saw. XD
ReplyDeleteGood to know it is not as bad as it looked from the promo. I will try the pilot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review - i was going to try it anyway but i'm glad to hear it's not as bad as the promos suggested. I hope viewers generally aren't put off from trying it for that reason.
ReplyDeleteIt was actually a lot better than expected. Actually enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :D Julia Eason pheral it's not as bad as the reviews suggest (at least I don't think so).
ReplyDeleteIt really was better than I thought it would be.
ReplyDeletei just saw it and loved it way better than OUAT
ReplyDeleteGood to know. We feel similarly on OUAT so maybe on Grimm as well.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the pilot online and found it to be a buffy/supernatural/the vampire diaries type wannabe. too many cheesy lines, humorless humor, bad acting, uninteresting case which had so many plot holes i would not be able to fill in here. I just am so disappointed with the pilot, i was really looking forward to this show. As i was watching, i couldn't help but to recall Supernatural's pilot episode and i was like omg where is this and where is that! Grimm is just a cliche ridden not scary at all supernatural genre wannabe that just doesnt fit in properly with all the vampires and teen wolfs we have all over tv and movies today. I see it being cancelled before the season ends, however that could change if the second episode pushes some sense into the storyline and writing becomes much better. i even didn't like the way it was shot and edited. i know i am a huge criticizer, but i just found the pilot utterly disappointing, maybe i had too many high hopes for this one.
ReplyDeleteNBC is going to have to move Grimm to another day. I refuse to give up Supernatural & Fringe for Grimm on Friday.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :D @Julia Eason @pheral it's not as bad as the reviews suggest (at least I don't think so).
