  1. Does that make any sense that September didn't save Peter because he wasn't important anymore because he served his purpose? But how could be that true? Who took his place? Since the machine is still there it seems logical that there was someone... They better explain this in a way that won't just make my head hurt more than it already does whenever I try to figure this out...

  2. Well... I think that was the best way to handle the non existence of Peter.

  7. I see it as iterations. The Observers are on a mission. The importance of Peter was to bridge the two universes for whatever reason (To prevent the end of both most probably). That was in effect done, so Peter served his purpose. Thus they erased him from time from the moment that September would have saved him.

This in effect created a new time-stream from that moment forward making for a new iteration. The bridge was still created by Peter (from the previous iteration), but since the Observers saw the need to correct the timeline they decided to reach back in time and let Peter die.

But the kicker I think is that September has an affection for Peter, Walter, and Olivia, and maybe he has this from eons of iterations who knows, but he has it. So since he has this affection for Peter and pals he still goes his own way and secretly reaches a little further back into time, and sets Peter aside in case he needs him again. This I hope is explained as: When we saw Peter disappear he actually went back to 2026, got the pieces of the machine and took them through the wormhole to the prehistoric time period.

I believe this prehistoric time period will have been before the split of the two separate but connected universes. While doing this Peter comes in contact with September and they basically formulate a plan of some sorts. So September is able to take the Peter from the last iteration who effectively traveled back into the past of this new timeline and grab him and bring him forward into the present of this new timeline. Why is still yet to be discovered. But I think season 4 will tell us this.

It's a paradox, much like the Grandfather Paradox. Peter traveled forward to a potential future, saw something he didn't like. This compelled him to rethink his decision to destroy the Redverse, and to instead bridge the two. But he and we were told by Walter of 2026 that because Peter used the machine to view the future; that the Machine must be sent back to complete the loop. There is no other way. From the perspective of the 2026 we saw, Peter never left and they kept going at least until he took the machine parts back through the wormhole effectively closing the loop. This I believe is when we saw him vanish. But having taken the parts back to the Prehistoric times, he is basically living in the new timeline's past.

Think of it this way: If you go back in time and kill your grandfather then you can't have existed to go back in time to kill your grandfather. Paradox. But the way alternate universes work is: Had you gone back in time and killed your grand father, then you just created a new universe where you'll never exist as yourself. But, you are there, and did just kill your grandfather. So you continue in that new universe, and live out the rest of your days never being able to go back to the old way. You are still you.

Now imagine that after you did this, some bald guy, who is able to transcend time, who you've met on several occasions before, tells you he can get you back to the right time. Only it will be in a place you've never existed thanks to your actions.

I believe this is the how of Peter's non-existant existence.

Did I just hurt your brain I hope not.

  8. i have to admit your theory is very impressive and the example of the grandfather helped a lot!Well done!!

I used to think that the Observers "deleted" Peter simply because he was dangerous for the safety of the two universes.he is the reason everything began,he is the reason the future was screwed up (he got into the machine and destroyed the Redverse),and eventually he is the reason th two universes can never truly cooperate (Olivia vs The bitch?).And eventually if the Reds decided to fight the Blues (which I find very possible considering how nuts Walternate is) Peter would have to choose sides and he would protect the people he truly cares about (but would they be walter & Olivia or his son???)

I think at the end of the show Peter WILL BE asked to choose sides.
What intrigues me is that Sam said that  whoever Peter decides to be with(meaning Olivia or the bitch) ,her universe is gonna be the one that survives and yet we are told that they have to exist at the same time because if one gets destroyed both worlds are dead...
