  2. By the way, does anyone know if the last two episodes will air? It's still in the schedule on Zap2it.

  3. I didn't think green-lighting this show made any sense and it turns out I was right.

  4. I have long been following Hank Azaria, adore watching his specific humour. So far he's been in heaps of movies and shows, but the other lead he had - "Huff" - got cancelled, and this was quite similar, but with worse supporting characters.

Ah, well, at least this leaves him free to work with on a new show with Hugh Laurie - something subtle, grown-up, and actually interesting.

    It could happen....

  5. I know that the rating sucked but it's because the day fighting with ABC comedy Wednesday. I really enjoyed Free Agents and I'm gonna miss it badly. If they put the show instead of Whitney, it would definitely had better ratings. And Whitney sucks badly.

  6. Damn it, I'm a little pissed, although that cancellation was expected, you could have seen it coming... since NBC announced its 2011/2012 lineup in May, actually. That's too bad, it was a decent comedy.

It's already a miracle that at least one of the two Wednesday sitcoms managed to have decent ratings & escape the cancellation bear : Up All Night, which is fun to watch, but I don't understand how so many people who watch it don't watch Free Agents right after... unless they tune in on ABC to watch Suburgatory (8:30 as well), in which case I don't blame them since I think it is clearly the best new sitcom of the fall.

But Free Agents was good as well. I'm not gonna say I loved this show, but it was definitely worth checking out, I had some laughs. Hopefully Hank Azaria will find another show to work on, I didn't know him before but he was great, great comical timing, he did a good job. I hope NBC won't pull the show out of its schedule.

EDIT : On the other hand, ShatteredOne has a point. I'm a little sad to see Free Agents go, but as long as NBC keeps on renewing Community and Parks and Recreation, I'm good. However, next May, I will go bananas if Community gets cancelled while a show like Whitney gets a second season : it is a possible threat because it got a full season order — only because it had the powerful The Office as a lead-in, no one would watch that otherwise. Meanwhile, at 8pm, with no lead-in as powerful as The Office and in front of TBBT, Community struggles. But that's the way it's always gonna be for Community, always on the edge.

  8. I personally thought Free Agents was much better than Whitney or Up all Night, but I expected it to be cancelled I guess.

  9. Every network will do that. It's just the way broadcast television works.

  10. While it sucks for the people that enjoyed this show, I'm hoping more NBC shows will fall so Community has a better shot of sticking around.
