• This episode takes us to the world of toddlers and tiaras Miami style. It shows the competitiveness , abuse and exploitation that goes on behind these beauty pageants.
• Horatio and the team have their hands full when they were called in to investigate the brutal murder of one stage mother and to track down a child abuser when one of the young contestants went missing.
• The suspect pool is made up of the murdered woman’s husband, the husband and wife team that runs this beauty pageant, the other stage mother and even the tots themselves.
• We see another glimpse of Calleigh’s childhood when she mentions to Ryan that she used to be a beauty pageant winner when she was a girl.
• Horatio is at it again with his vigilante like ways but this time he went overboard.
• Dave Benton is back in the lab.
• Everyone is in this episode and lots of Delko/Calleigh working scenes.

•They are really playing up on Calleigh’s maternal instincts this season. Once again we see her in a room coloring books with this little girl while the girl was being observed through the one way mirror by a child psychologist. After the observation session, Calleigh told the girl that she needs to go but the girl asked her not to leave her. Calleigh heart breakingly told the girl that she will just be on the other room and she took off her necklace and placed it on the girl and told her to hold on to it till she gets back. She also said that it’s like a part of her is still with the girl.

~ The episode starts off at Miami Junior Royalty Pageant where a bunch of young girls are getting dolled up and ready for the big event. Melrose, a 6-year-old girl, is arguing with her mother about not wanting to wear a "flipper." Her mother is adamant and offers candy in exchange for wearing the outfit. One of the mothers ends up dead, and it becomes a case of whether she was killed over the pageant.
~ Calleigh is a former pageant winner of Vernon County.
~ This episode will mark a big turning point for Horatio. He comes into contact with a very bad person while trying to rescue a girl. The room they're in starts to go up in flames. Horatio and the guy have a discussion about cold-blooded killings, and Horatio walks out, locks the door, and leaves the guy inside to burn.
~ I see mentions of everyone except for Walter and Loman.
