not a two and ahalf men fan, but i will be checking out the new season cosa aston kutcher... only love dude wheres my car,,,.. but he has earned my respect to at least check out everything he trys :D
You know? I might have watched ell Two and a Half seasons and I can't just care that Charlie died, I'm not sure if I even like the show, but the reruns always show when i'm working and have the tv as background noise.
It was never a great show to me, but it is a background noise that I have grown accustumed to, so another season is fine by me.
I would be the last person to go to war to defend this show as a masterpirce of humor, but I truly believe that the derision and mockery that it beacons is uncalled for. There are worse crap in tv, and in a sea of reality tv and insuferable rich kid drama, TaaM is an example of that simple sitcom that we need as background noise, because it's silly, because it doesn't takes itself seriously, and because sometimes, it is kinda funny.
I have to admit that I am curious regarding the new storyline, but the show is really just a repetition of drunk Charlie jokes, slut jokes, stupid Jake jokes, cheap and broke Allan jokes. When i have nothing else to do, I watch it, but season 8 was just an abomination and an insult to anyone with brain cells. I believe the Sheen-Debacle might have saved the show, because it seemed they were running out of storylines.
BTW, did anyone notice that the kid (Jake) had very little screen time during season 8? Was there a reason for it?
I said once and I say it again, they had better ended the show and started a new one, you can't do the same show without your main character, I'm not defending Charlie Sheen, he screwed it up, but he was the star, the show had a structure and a story, and what they pretend to do can't have the same name, I have no doubt that it could be a funny show because the writers are very good, but it's never going to be Two and a Half Men anymore.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
funny
ReplyDeleteThis show is an abomination to humour, and an abortion of TV.

Plus Holland Taylor is absolutely hilarious.

I guess I am going to be the only one watching this show but....I love Ashton! And yes, I do watch some shows because I enjoy the actor.
