Apparently Sam's losing it (is that really a spoiler at this point?) as season 7 starts. Jared also talks about Supernatural vs. Fringe vs. Grimm, and the state of Supernatural's audience:
"At this point and time, we’re not doing American Idol numbers where 30 million people watch every week and it’s a no-brainer that [they’ll] go forever. We have this core group of followers who are a part of it and enjoying being a part of it. "
Nothing we haven't heard before, but still it's a nice full-page post for Supernatural. Gotta love EW coverage. :)
ReplyDeleteAh, the hair question. It never goes away. Maybe a season-long fauxhawk would make it stop?
ReplyDeleteAnybody notice that there is something wrong with the points/badges? I just +1 and tweeted this and I only received 2 points. Also my total points was 2995 a couple of hours ago and now it's showing in the 2960s.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, like Wilson said, it's always nice to see Supernatural get coverage.
<3
ReplyDeleteGlad to know it's not just me. My points have dropped by about 200 since I was last on here.
ReplyDeleteSeason 4 hair. That's all I have to say.
ReplyDeleteAs long as it is not a mullet, I'm good with about anything, including the fauxhawk. That might be a fun one to try in the comedy episodes.
ReplyDeleteWhenever they mention hunters getting killed, my first reaction is protect Bobby. I definitely think the Impala should hold out for a new contract though.
ReplyDelete"We have some people who are passionate..." Aw! So nice of you not to say buckets of crazy, Jared.
My points are going down too. But on the bright side, if people realize they aren't getting points for it, maybe we will have far less people commenting "thanks" and "can't wait" just to get points. It drives me nuts to scroll through those to find the real conversation.
ReplyDeleteWait... We're losing points? :O
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on here!?
damn right you have a core group of followers!
ReplyDeleteThis was an excellent interview. Of course there wasn't much new in it, but it's nice to hear from one the boys.
ReplyDeleteMine have also. Strange.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the Impala. I read somewhere that Creation Entertainment wants to the buy the rights to it. I hate that thought.
ReplyDelete"One of the things that has really remained a constant with Sam at least
ReplyDeleteis that he’s tried to remain strong. Sometimes there’s a downfall, like
when he had the demon blood thing going on. He’s always thought he was
doing the right thing, and he remained very headstrong. But now, with
Sam’s wall coming down, we see this guy who has always been strong who
kind of now is just losing it. He doesn’t know if he can trust himself
and he has such self doubt that it’s crippling. It’s difficult on Dean;
it’s difficult on Bobby because he can’t be a help to them if he can’t
be a help to himself. At least in the past, he’s always been able to go
in guns blazing and provide some sort of help. But now, with Sam’s not
sure who he is and where he is, it’s like Dean and Bobby have to take
care of me as well."
*heart breaks* ;_;
I agree completely with this.
ReplyDeleteWhatever Sam has done he has done believing that he was doing the right thing.
He never set out intentionally to harm anyone or to be evil in any way.
The truth is that he had been caught up in the demonic side of things, through no fault of his own, since he was a baby and that, combined with the gruesome life he had to lead didn't make for an easy journey to adulthood.
Through all of that though, he kept his aura of innocence, generosity, humaneness and kindliness, and was only led off track by the death of his brother and his subsequent addiction due to that very cause.
He should be admired for his strength of character and desire to put right the wrongs he feels he has caused.
I'm sure that there will be lots of ungenerous criticism of the ongoing Sam's wall story line from certain sources, but it was said that if the wall came down there woud be terrible consequences for Sam, so it can't be swept under the carpet as if it was nothing.
It's obvious that Dean will always be there for Sam ( he did go to Hell for him after all )and Sam for Dean, as I hope Bobby will also, unless the writers decide to put the last nail in the coffin and deprive us and them of Bobby's help too.
I hope that never happens............
Pardon me if I use this answer to your post to let off a little steam in defence of Sam, regards
Thanks
ReplyDeleteI absolutely do not mind at all. :) Sam deserves all the defense he can get considering how his character and the actor who plays him have both been treated by fans lately.
ReplyDeletethanks for this!
ReplyDeleteAwesome interview. Gotta love Jared! The hair question... It's always about the hair.
ReplyDelete(Good lord, the comments on that site. D: Tons of Sam bashing...and then Dean bashing. And then Cas fans jump in. *shudder* And on another article someone suggested they bring in a female character and make the boys fall in love with her and then give her a story arc! Ugh. Thank god this site isn't like that.)
I agree but I lost over 6000 points. And I don't just type in thanks or can't wait. :0(
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at the Answer Jared gave to the hair question.I love when our guys do interviews they are always so funny and sweet. Can't wait until Sep 23rd.
