Kristen from E! has screened the premiere, and there are some mild spoilers!
Overall this seems like it's going to be good!

We just screened Friday's season-seven premiere, and while we can't reveal too much (you'll thank us for not spoiling the surprises), know this: It is shocking, hilarious and sadder than hell.

  1. From what she said, I think this season is shaping up to be good. :) Like really good...

  2. Is the article revealing to much?
    IM SCARED...

  3. Well, it spells negative energy towards a certain character... :/

  4. I'm up for anything that actually serves the storyline...and not just to keep a character around just because. But that is just me.

  5. Interesting! I guess that we'll have to wait and see what happens this season

  6. I worry about the sad part.

  7. This article is eerily similar to the last two that have been posted.  The EPs are even using identical phrases in their answers.  I think we've hit a "scoop wall" until the premiere.

  8. this season should be better than last year's season

    ReplyDelete
  9. One can only hope! :) I also think that it is way passed time for the boys to just be brothers and to be unified for more than half a season.

  10. I can't wait! I hope it's awesome. It is sounding pretty good! I'll be sad when/if Cas goes, but in the end, the show is about the Winchesters, not him. (No comment on those people on that site that said they'll stop watching if they get rid of Cas. They drive me nuts.)

  11. I agree.
The show is about the Winchester brothers and the guest stars are there only to enhance that.

So many characters have been killed off, good and bad, who were just as interesting as Castiel. Hendicksen was one of my favourites, then Meg no.1, Alastair, Zachariah, Balthazar, Gabriel, Anna, Ellen, Jo, Ash, Rufus, and the list could go on and on and on.

Castiel has had a good run for his money but it was getting too awkward to to find a logical role in the show for his character.

  12. I can't believe that from the sounds of the article written about season 7 episode 1 Castiel is leaving.  Have the producers not heard all the fans Misha has????  Have they not heard how hard we all will take this if Castiel leaves the show??????

    ReplyDelete
  13. "Castiel is doomed."
Wait and see how the writers will be doomed if that happens... ; )

Actually, the season sounds pretty awesome.I'm still not freaking out(much) about Cas.
I've shared my opinion before.I think he'll disappear after episode 2(presumably dead) and then come back,I don't know in what form, later.Possibly the mid season finale.
But what Misha said about swimming is interesting. If it doesn't happen in episode 2,we'll know that we're gonna see him again.Maybe that why he thinks that he shouldn't have said anything!Ha!

  14. Ahhh! Now I feel like I'm back in reality I went a whole 24 hours where Sam/Jared were not bashed and I got kind off worried. I thought Dean/Cas fans had all died or something.

Like I said I hope Sam's role is bigger than just appearing to' lose his marbles' in a few episodes, especially since Sam tends to be treated like wallpaper in the second half of the season until conveniently being written to be whatever the writers need him to be for the finale? Can you say Plot Device?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I agree Cas isnt going anywhere there has been way to much emphasis on him dying which means he'll be around forever and ever and ever. Oh Joy.

    ReplyDelete
  16. same here. I'm actually surprised there hasn't been more whining about it on here. On the CW site there's a 'Dean fans leaving' thread because there weren't enough spoilers about Dean. If people are going to stop watching just stop watching, no need to announce it to the world like they'll give a shit.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I struggled to think of reasons for Sam and Dean hunting in season 6, they had Puff The Magic Angel to take care of everything so why bother, also in the end they just came off looking a bit stupid being used as pawns in someone else's game again.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It sounds better on paper but SPN's biggest downfall has always being failure to deliver on its promises. One can only hope it's better than season 6 then again I don't think anything could be worse?!

  19. I've read one other Review and it sounded like the Premier isnt great-mostly storytelling rather than story showing, time moving forward quickly, but a big cliff hanger at the end. I actually think it's episode 2 that is the one to be excited about given what we've heard so far.

  20. Whoa!  This is going to be good.  Very good.  One more day!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. NOW THAT ITS TOMORROW THE WAIT IS DRIVING ME LOOPY!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Awesome! So freaking excited for tomorrow night, especially since it's been a long summer.

  23. Awwww just don't know how I am going to handle Castiel.  If he is gone.  I hope they do it w/grace.

    ReplyDelete
  24. *Start singing and put my hands on my hears*
    Not hearing anything!! 0.o LALALAL

xD Don't spoil me the day before

  25. No doubt about it.

The powers-that-be obviously kept the character alive because of the fan reaction.
In the first half of season 6 I felt Castiel was really rather useless, appearing now and then but with no particular role.

He managed to lie to Sam and Dean the whole time though, assuring them, more than once, that he didn't know who pulled Sam out of hell and that he didn't know he was soulless.

I think that if they hadn't had to tie him in in some way, the season could have been much nore inventive.

Just to say that the vocal fans get all the notice, but there is also a silent majority who just want to see a good show and are not partcularly worried if Castiel stays or goes.

  26. I feel like I am in the minority here. I don't really want to see Sam and Dean angsting all season over Sam's wall breaking and Dean feeling guilty.  I don't want emotion based plot.  I want action based plot with a side of emotion.  I want to see the brothers uncover the big bad, plot how to kill it, and kill it.  Not angsting over  Hell memories and lost of love ones and guilt and what all.
I prefer it when they have an episode with a lot of action and movement and then at the end they have their Chick Flick moment over the hood of the Impala.

  27. Honestly, as much as I love MS and Crowley's character, it's time for him (and Meg) to die for good.  I prefer shows where the bad guy bites the dust and doesn't keep popping up season after season.  We've been there and done that with Crowley, it's time to move on.

    ReplyDelete
  28. No, it's definitely not just you. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. I know!!! I was reading halfway through and I was like "huh...Not really giving that much anymore are they!?"

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah, episode 1 is the real season 6 cliffhanger, and episode two is the "premiere" in a sort of way, from what we're heard.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yeah I do agree on that. A lot of things in the past worked out better before they applied their budgets to their storylines.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ok, no offense but I've heard enough "DON'T THEY LISTEN TO THE FANS!?"
This is their story, so if you don't like something they do, it's just too bad. You can disagree with the events that take place, you can get angry or upset and quit watching the show, but you actually think that you're going to tell the writers how to writer THEIR story? That's just ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  33. OH NO!!!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAqWFg06RDc

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thanks! Its nice to know that I'm not alone in feeling like that.

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's their show. They can do what they like. If you don't like it, don't watch. Simple. You didn't expect Castiel to be around forever, did you? I'm pretty sure he was never meant to be a permanent character.

    ReplyDelete
  36. You're joking right? That's even more ridiculous. Why can't the so-called fans at least wait until the season premiere to whine, complain, and leave if they so choose? The show doesn't need people like that anyway...good riddance to them!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Exactly. I was pretty upset when Gabriel died, and Balthazar, and lots more, but they are side characters and of secondary importance.

I got the feeling they were only keeping Cas around for the fans, anyway. I read somewhere they were supposed to get rid of him in... I can't remember. Either the end of season four, or somewhere in season five. But he stayed around... It was just too easy in season six. In The Man Who Knew Too Much, when he saved them from the demons, I just sat there, thinking that was ridiculous. They used to be able to handle demons no problem, now they have to be rescued like helpless little maidens? I really, really hope that doesn't happen in season seven, with anybody. Cas can't stay around forever. He makes things far too easy for the boys.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hey, not all Dean fans are rabid Cas fans as well! As I've said before, I'm a Dean girl, but I love Sam too. I want them both to have good storylines and scenes, and I'm looking forward to seeing the end of Cas myself. There's not really any reason for him to stick around, unless it was the writers pandering the the fans again.

I hate Sam bashing. And Dean bashing. Character bashing in general.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hopefully if he dies he stays dead. He's already been brought back twice, which is more than enough. He's not a Winchester, they're the only ones who are safe from being killed off permanently. Cas had a good go, three seasons, but if he goes then he goes. It's about time for him to take his leave anyway, since in season 6 I couldn't really think of a reason for him to be there. It felt like the writers just pulled an excuse out of a hat (angelic war) for him to appear every now and then, just to please the fans.

    ReplyDelete
  40.  I'm definitely in agreement with you here. I loved Gabriel too.:)

If you look at the first half of season 6 you will see that Castiel has absolutely nothing to do, he just appears now and then.
The most outstanding thing was probably his kiss with Meg.
They found more work for him in the second half but it all just seemed forced, in order to give him a more important reason for being in the story.

It's clear that they kept him on for the more vocal fans but I always feel that in trying to please some of the fans you end up doing a disservice to the whole show.
Having a super-powered Angel sort of takes away the need to have Sam and Dean and may I say that I wouldn't be good with that at all!

Castiel should probably have returned to heaven at the end of Season 5, closed the Pearly Gates and just left Earth to look after itself.

    ReplyDelete
  41. "..but if he goes then he goes."
Very true, there's nothing we can do about it.And no matter how much I like Cas I would never stop watching the show. That being said,I would hate it if he died.
I don't think the writers created the civil war plot just to keep him around.I mean, what you're saying made sense for me until the mid season finale when we haven't seen anything about the war.But especially after the finale,it seems to me that they did have a plan for him.
And honestly,I don't see him dying any time soon.I expect him to disappear for at least half a season and then come back.

    ReplyDelete
  42. He was awesome. His episodes are among my favorites, especially Mystery Spot.

Yeah, he did have more of a purpose in the second half, I guess, but it still seemed forced to me too.

If you please some of the fans, the rest will feel ignored. That's why shows shouldn't cater to their fans.

I second that! He should have left at the end of season 5.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Good to know you aren't one of those fans who say they'll stop watching if he goes. I'd be sad if he died, but well, that's Supernatural for you. Characters die easily, and often.

Well, yeah, in the second half he had some purpose, but it felt kind of forced to me. I did enjoy the season finale though, and the cliffhanger left me shocked and wanting more, so they did good.

I hope not... If he just goes AWOL, then he can come back, but if he dies he should stay dead. (This is just my opinion, of course.)

  44. In defense of the Cas fans ... It's very rare that I stop watching a TV show because one character has been written off.  But if the show is killing off one great character after another, and as a result becomes less engaging, that's another story.  I'm not happy about the Cas news (just as I was very unhappy about the decision to kill off Gabriel), but I also haven't been very happy about the lack of character development for Sam over the past few seasons.  I kept waiting to get Sam's point of view on the Hell/Lucifer experience last season, and it never came.  If they want to kill off all of the interesting side characters, they need to seriously step up the Sam and Dean story development to fill the gap. I'm not going to keep watching a show if it doesn't hold my interest anymore, and I think that's what a lot of the Cas fans are really saying.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I guess I can understand that. That's reasonable. It's their decision whether to watch or not, after all.

I have to agree about Sam in season 6... I've seen a lot of people saying that season it was all about Sam, but personally, I thought they were focusing too much on Dean! (And this is coming from a Dean girl too...) Even when it was supposed to be about Sam they paid more attention to how how Dean felt about it.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think that was his point, actually. Also, the more (gone) the merrier!

    ReplyDelete
  47. It would be nice if they weren't falling continuously into an abyss of depression constantly.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Well, while I agree with your post and your opinion, I would say that making demons easier and easier to kill for the brothers (let's not forget there was no such thing as killing a demon until the end of season 1 and it was limited to the last few bullets of the colt!) is just as bad as having Cas around to poof in and out. So having demons get the drop on them while they weren't prepared and then Cas killing the demons was not a big deal to me.

  49. It feels good to be back here on Spoiler TV. :) I'm so ready for new episodes. It's been a long hellatus!
