Ricky Gervais has revealed that he has started making plans for a Life's Too Short spinoff based around Les Dennis, Shaun Williamson and Keith Chegwin.
The trio of TV veterans have recurring roles in Gervais and Stephen Merchant's new sitcom Life's Too Short, which tells an exaggerated story of dwarf actor Warwick Davis.
Gervais told an audience at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh Television Festival that a "spinoff" with the show's minor characters was a serious consideration.
"I want to do a spinoff with Les Dennis, Keith Chegwin and Shaun Williamson. They are brilliant. Not ironically. They are brilliant naturalist actors," he insisted.
The Office creator teased that one scene in Life's Too Short would feature the three actors discussing the methods they would use to commit suicide.
Gervais also hinted that Johnny Depp's appearance in Life's Too Short would raise eyebrows, describing it as "one of the craziest things you've ever seen on television".
