I think it's a little too early for me to truly comment on the show, because I'm 50/50. I thought it was a good episode but nothing over the top. I am looking forward to the second episode, see how things pick up and where it'll lead in the future. :)
It was a decent straight ahead procedural with its own unique gimmick. *Yawn*
Middle of the road writing,.decent acting but nothing extraordinary about the first episode. A little bit too predictable too. A cop that becomes a healthcare helper to a patient that cannot recall her, but shares a long history with her... Gee I did not expect that patient to be her mom... for at least 15 seconds maybe.
The one thing I had a major issue with is what I feared about the premise in the first place. The detective with perfect recall only remembered enough evidence as the story needed at the time. Ok sure she saw the killer at the pizzeria, but she couldn't recall it until the climax of the episode since knowing theson was near the crime scene would have made it all too easy to solve.
I have serious problems if she remembers only the misleading evidence first and then suddenly recalls the critical piece of information at the end of every episode. Of course that's how it will play out every week though.
Some will love it I'm sure, but I don't see it being very successful... I thought it was just "OK"... barely. One episode was enough for me I think. Unless every other new series bombs and Unforgettable survives I won't be watching another episode of it.
It was good, but nothing that blew me away with it's "unique quirk" for the lead character. I might give it a couple more to see if I'll put it on my dvr list as Body of Proof is my current procedural of choice for this time slot.
I wasn't impressed. The character introduction was interesting. I was kind of bored with the way they're using her memory to solve the crimes. I like most of the cast but none of the characters were that interesting. Basically, I was bored. Eh.
The only reasons I enjoyed it is because I'm easy to please, and I don't mind seeing Poppy M. again. I thought it was predictable, but most of the time I like it that way.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteJust ok for me. Very average and a little to cliche'd and predictable
