  1. DHARMA AND GREG (AND PETE!) I didn't appreciate the fighting, though. What was that about?

    Also, yay Uncle Jesse!

  2. I thought Ashton did a great job and it was a very funny episode -- more to come, I'm sure.

  3. Definitely one of the LEAST funny episodes of Two and a Half Men.

The best part of the episode was the guest star cameos. The funeral was tasteless. Okay Charlie was crass, but some of of the jokes crossed the line to me....Evelyn was great upselling her dead son's beach house at the funeral.I was hoping we could move past the fart jokes with Jake.... sadly no it appears.Berta was strong as ever and Judith quip was fun.Ashton was all wrong though. The show relies on the hedonistic, nonchalant arrogance of Sheen played against the cynical hopelessness of Alan. Walden turning to Alan for help with life was wrong on so many levels and just not funny. Other than the bar scene with Alan realizing that things are more sympathetic when coming from tall and good-looking than from himself.I guess it could improve if it gets back to what made the show a hit in the first place and finds a rhythm of its own. I'm not entirely sure I will watch it that long though. That saddens me since I have watched and enjoyed it from day one.

  4. I don't think there is much to say yet as this episode was so Charlie centric, I do think is lame that the guy that has it all winds up getting advice from the biggest loser in TV just to hint us that he is turning into the younger version of charlie in the end. So i guess after a couple more episodes we can have a verdict on the show, is it going to be the same with a different guy (Didn't they learn on the Scrubs fiasco) or we have a re-invention on hand, really hoping for the second or will dropped in a bit

  5. Ashton was good, I see where he is going with his character in terms of personality. But I found the episode disappoint, it lacked that unique humour the show is known for. The storyline was really choppy, and i found it difficult to laugh with the cast. I was most disappointed with the way the funeral was handled, thee was no empathy to charlie's death what so ever, whatever an actor's history was, it  should not be smeared into their character's story, and i felt his the funeral was meant for Charlie the actor not Charlie the character. I was appalled and disgusted by the sheer crassness of that scene, which was meant to be one of the most important in the episode.

  6. The show should have ended a few seasons ago. I tuned in out of curiosity but won't be watching next week.

  7. As I thought it was a funny episode, because the writers and the cast are good, but at the same time would be a cruel joke on the character, because of the actor, yeah nobody loved Charlie, not even Chelsie that was about to marry him, everybody was just waiting to spit over his dead body, Jake was even bored at his funeral, no matter how many times his uncle showed him love, Alan was just like ackward, I mean everyone was shown as cold heartless people, and I understand that, this was because this is a comedy, that's why I was totally against of they killing the character, but it's not my show, and who knows, maybe it gets wonderful numbers in rating.

  9. Without a doubt I was thinking the same thing.
The funeral felt like Chuck Lorre take pot shots at Charlie Sheen.

It also felt as if there was NO sympathy for losing the star of the series or simply losing a beloved character. It was Lorre only wanted to show how happy people were that Charlie (both Harper and Sheen) were gone as if everybody that watched the series for 8 years was glad to be rid of Sheen. That is a TINY percentage of the Two and  Half Men audience that is happy Charlie is gone.

Sheen made the series what it was to a large degree in the beginning. To basically just say "Good riddance" to Charlie Harper felt more than awkward .... it felt insulting.

  10. I agree the funeral was just tasteless.

  11. Charlie married Rose and went to Paris with her, and then cheated on her. He accidently "fell" in front of a subway train the next day. The story was told by Rose in her crazy stalker kind of way.

  14. Worst episode EVER!!!!!! they tried too much to make it funny - got opposite result.
Dharma and Greg moment - terrible - Dharma would never say something like that.
That was just one HORRIBLE episode, where's the wit and charm of the show?!

  15. It was indeed of poor taste. And not funny.

  16. I did not mind Rose killing Charlie  so much... It fit her crazy stalker character to me. However, I did not like them making it so obvious she killed him.

I was tired of Jake and his fart jokes 2 or 3 seasons ago at least. The only time fart jokes are funny is if it's from a completely unexpected source like conservative grandmothers, upper government officials or high placed church officiates. Even then.... more giggle-worthy than laugh inducing.

  17. Important question! Who was that blond in the first row next to Ryan Stiles (Herb)?

  18. Two and a half men felt like a complete new show to me ... I was really disappointed, not that I had expected much to be honest! It felt like they tried to hard to make Ashton`s character funny, don`t know how to explain it, it just felt totally wrong for me.... don`t think I`ll even watch the second episode...
