    Ironic fun line of the night.... "It's not just you anymore Siobh, you have to think for two!" And how annoying is the nickname Siobh? Seriously... Do you drop the-an or do you totally respell the name like Shiv? Ugh!

    Looks like Buffy has herself a new "work bag"! Less stakes and holy water, more rubber gloves and bleach. XD

    The way SMG looked at that trunk it was as if she recognized it and expected it to be filled with vampire hunting gear. .

    I think Bridget's dress of the night was actually worse than the Roman slave girl dress in the promo posters..... Yikes. Siobhan's "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?"costume was no better.

    This episode had better flow and was a bit better overall than the pilot. Something is still missing for me
    and it feels far less suspenseful or interesting than it should. Not mention the inconsistencies as I see them.  Odd that Bridget was smart enough to bring bleach and sterilize the scene of her crime, but not check the corpse for a phone, cash or ID etc.... Then after almost getting killed, almost getting caught for killing her attacker, she decides to stay because a girl she just met has issues....

    Note to Ringer creative team: Bleach Tara's hair blonde and create a backstory that allows her to speak with a British accent.... Me no likey red haired Gemma Gallagher. What they give her an Irish last name and they need to dye her hair flame red and make her a bad drunk? I call shenanigans!

    Her taking a shiv? OK by me. Personally I think it would be a far more interesting story if the rich twin had to assume the poor twin's identity and was in danger... and broke.

    I was thinking more along the lines of her using a shiv on others.  Her sister handed Bridget her life so if anyone wants to take it back from her they should get a good shankin'.  :)

    Well I hope she does not grip said shiv like a take and drive it through someone's sternum or I will have some serious flashbacks and pangs for a favorite series of mine that's dead and buried....

    Yeah the music was annoying me the entire episode. I'm giving it a "good" because it felt like she was more in tune with her character than last week. And I guess it lacked the awful boat scene...

    I want to retroactively lower my rating of last week's episode from "Poor" to "Awful" every time I think of how bad it was!

    Yeah, I thought about that too and realized I think I'm just trying to find ways to shoehorn more violence into this show because I still have trouble letting go of SMG's previous TV venture.

    You're not... There's at least 4 people on here I can think of off the top of my head that hated it too.

    I mean the music is bad enough, but the score is just terrible.

    I keep trying to tell TV showrunners... 
    If your scene is not intense enough and sucks, adding loud music to it just means the scene will be tension free and suck with loud annoying score music......

    I liked this one a whole lot better than the first.  The pacing was better but still has room for improvement.  The mystery is slowly building and I have no clue who knows what and what they are planning.  Usually I have at least a guess but as of right now, I think we are still missing a few key players before things make sense.  Plausibility still remains a huge problem.  Not the visual green screen eyeroller of last week, but seriously, how did she get a body that has been dead for a day to bend into that trunk?

    I think the scene with her holding up the saw was their way of implying she would use the circular saw, but that would make a HUGE mess and take a lot of extra time since the blade is so shallow.

    I have absolutely no problem with Gemma, how she looks, or her background.  I reserve the right to change my opinion on the first one though.  This character could get annoying fast.  I totally agree on the unfortunate clothing they insist SMG wear no matter what twin she is playing.  

    I also had an issue with her not checking the pockets.  Normally I would give her a pass for being in shock but she was looking at that hand saw with absolute purpose.  Anyone willing to dissect the body should definitely try to get more information on the guy sent to kill her if for nothing more than self-preservation.  I cry foul that a former drug addict wouldn't know enough to at least check.  have to say though that the time I was on the edge of my seat was when she picked up that hand saw.  I was thinking, "No way the CW goes there."  Unfortunately I was right.

    Agreed.  I was sickeningly excited when I thought she was going to hack the body in pieces.  Not that I like the gore but because that would have made Bridget a much, much darker character.  Not sure how they would be able to keep her somewhat innocent (for a former drug addict and prostitute) if they had gone there, but it would have been interesting to see it.

    Well in fairness I only dislike Gemma's hair and lack of her natural accent because I loved her as a blonde on Boston Legal where she used her natural British accent.

    The biggest problem is that if I am going to notice the music, it should be because it helps the plot.  The music came on in the bathroom scene and I was distracted because I think I've heard it before but I wasn't sure where.  Then my mind went off on that tangent and I missed what I am sure was a terribly poignant scene where Bridget briefly bonded with her pseudo-step-daughter before the relationship all goes to hell the next morning.  Perhaps I should be grateful for the music interrupting the emoangst.

    HA!!!  I've noticed that this show is not big on details that make sense.  My guess is that shallow saw would have cut through the bone and her outfit would have stayed neat.  Thinking on it, perhaps it is a good thing they didn't go for dismemberment in the second episode.  It's not something your supposed to laugh about.

    I really really liked it & I like how slowly they're uncovering stuff about the characters ... things are getting interesting and the pace was perfect this way.. I hope they keep it up.. & I barely noticed the music imho!

    I liked this ep better than the pilot which is the goal I guess.  The body disappearing was no surprised.  What else can you expect when you leave a body on the floor.  Now, I'm ready to start finding out what's going on with Shioban in France.

    I didn't initially have a problem with her deciding to stay because the family needed her.  I took it as her remembering that her sister was there for her, so she could return the favor by being there for her sister's family.  But now that you mention it, a former drug addict/prostitute should be less of a pushover and more motivated by self-survival.

    What's bugging me more is that she doesn't seem to be grieving the death of her twin sister.

    I'm sorry but you have a very broad definition of emoangst. 
    It was an alright scene I guess. Nothing special but it was more poignant than most of the other character bonding moments (like Malcolm... I don't understand the point of that character lol)

    If Malcolm ends up being one of the people Siobhan is using to get to Bridget then his character will becoming remarkably more interesting than he currently is.

    Siobhan is easily the most interesting story line to me.  Maybe it's because we know less about it, but I also think so many things are revolving around Bridget that it is hard to focus on which part of her life has turned into the biggest puzzle.  Of course, Siobhan and Bridget share the stupid gene if they think any thing they've done so far is remotely plausible.

    loved loved loved it it was such an interesting episode SMG played it on the note. I love Thrillers and this is kindy like a thriller and sobhan has came bk and it was like woooooooop ! it's gonna get spicery and a bet it will be a kick as tv show . The music is good to

    In spite of this show's faults, and it has a handful, I really do like Ringer.  There are very few television programs I watch each week that I can honestly say I have no idea what's going to happen or what a character's true agenda is.  As a viewer who has seen a lot of television, this is a very valuable rarity for me.

    I like the main character, I like her (Bridget) evolving relationships with the supporting characters, and I like the sustained suspense and intensity of each episode.  Because of that, I can forgive Ringer's apparent shortcomings.
