Pretty mediocre. I wouldn't call it awful, but it's far from being great. The premise sounded kind of interesting, the cast is quite good (although I was getting a little bit sick of Drama on Entourage and Dillon basically plays more or less the same guy). It provided a few laughs, but it was not very original and the laugh track bothered me on this show, because it was often used when I didn't find the show funny and saw no reason to laugh. I will give this 1 or 2 more episodes, mainly because I wanted to like this show, but the pilot hasn't given me much hope.
I expected it to be outright terrible and it was not!
I found myself laughing a number of times, mostly from the supporting cast of Dave Foley, Rhys Darby and Mary Lynn Rajskub.
I found the premise better seeing it unfold in the pilot episode than I did in the preview I watched early in the pilot season. I can see this having a lot of potential for stories... .I'm not sure I will be watching them, but the premise sets up near endless possibilities.
It reminded me of the Bizarro world version of Barney Stinson on How I met Your Mother when he said "Ted, I'm going to show you how to live!" This time our Barney is the one receiving the lessons on life rather than giving them. Also our Barney is not quite as funny of course.
I will watch another episode or two- which shocks me since I wrote this one off completely before watching it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I think this one ranks right up there with Whitney XD. I normally give a show 3 episodes to grab me but this one won't....
