I don't know, it was good, it was funny, but at the end, it just made me wonder how far Glee can really go. It just feels like we keep dancing the tango Maureen.
But alas, I hope that the looming graduation up the scales, because if well felt like an old school episode, it didn't bring much new. Maybe Glee will set in a good place and regain some much needed consistence and will become stronger, I hope so. But at the same time, I am of the myth arc and the journey of the hero, and everyday it feels like the shinnynes that brought me to Glee is fading. It's not you Glee, it's me.
Highlights:
Rachel/Kurt is good, makes sense. (You and your hag, lol)
Sugar: I love her (self diagnosed aspergers y'all! she is like a piece of the internet on te show)
Mercedes: Amber exudes confidence, and that can't be bad.
Brittany: Best one liners as ever
Sue: funny as always, and now she is crusading.
Lowlights, downlights? the oposite of the above:
Kurt/Blaine: I'm sorry, but they just turn me off. They are both hot but i'm not that shallow it seems (it shocked me too as well) When Glee introduces a teen version of Max from Happy Endings, then I will swear my loyalty to this show. Because honestly, Kurt and Blaine are almost at the same mindframe as Will and Grace. W&G was fair for it's time and will always be dear to my heart. but making show choir and flamboyancy the only acceptable behaviours of the gayness is just backwards.
On the other hand, Glee is the gayest show in TV in the flamboyant sense, maybe i'm barking at the wrong three. (wouldn't be the first time, I have been punched)
Wemma: I did not care for you, and Emma was solid this ep, so it's Will.
Quinn; Yeah, talk about a forgone conclusion (hint: she is returning to Glee after some hard times)
The Asians: Because now I refuse to consider them characters.
But taking a step back, it was an overall good episode, but just good, not above, not below.
And that's how Meaty Stakes... stakes your meat?...
That was horrible, and possibly sexual harrasment to the internet.
I did not get very into this episode at all, not sure why, as I don't thing it was particular worst than some of same season episode.I really don't buy th Make I like next weeks episode better
Nothing on this show has changed except for Quinn and Emma. How disappointing. Everyone is still struggling with a variation of the same crap that they were dealing with in season one. That's not character development, it's regression.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
TOTALY AWESOME yes I'm in love with blaine ahhaha
ReplyDeleteSTARKID!!!!! YELLOW GLASSES! i cant believe they let him wear it !!
It's official. Glee is BACK (to its good, ol' times)!
ReplyDeleteI loved it except for the fact they seemed to have dumped trout mouth and Puck's girlfriend from the cast.
ReplyDeleteBest episode since season 1.
ReplyDeleteumm what was with Quinn? That kinda turned me off...

I actually missed Glee's particular brand of crazy.

ReplyDeleteGlee's back to form I believe
ReplyDeleteI just hope they're setting the Lea Michele based spin-off up, because I cannot lose her televisual awesomeness
"When Glee introduces a teen version of Max from Happy Endings, then I will swear my loyalty to this show." Sounds like an out Dave Karofsky....
ReplyDeleteBut worlds of angst appart.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't make me want to throw my shoe at the TV, so it's already an improvement. Hope Sue wins the Congressional seat.

ReplyDeleteI hope the new writing staff can fix this.
