  1. One hell of an episode with one of the most touching moments EVER between Jack and Jo. I hope she comes back soon.

  2. I don't even know what to say. Please tell me that wasn't another worm-hole in the start of season 5.

  3. I love the Jack and Jo moments so this episode was pretty much perfect for me. Can't wait for S5.

  5. Okay that royally pisses me off...

The episode itself was great. But the ending? WTF?!?!?

  7. Was a WONDERFUL ep!  Funny and dire troubles (as always!) abound- but touching as well!  Jack n Jo - wanted to cry...........  okay, maybe a tear was shed!

Now the problem(s):  Cliffhanger! Waiting NINE months AND THE REAL END!!!!!!!!!!!!   So- sooooo very sad!

Jack now a Daddy of three! -  Good thing Kevin was okay with the move-in!  Where o where have our Space Aventurer's gone?  Can they make it home?   Will Joe find herself on her Walk About?  And WHAT was Naked Jo proving/showing to Jack?  (okay- yes, that was the promo for next season, but hey couldn't help it)  What will happen to Allison since she's not in a pod or even strapped in?

    Is it just me................... or

Did Jo really not like the New Zane,-  and with living with Jack becoming so close that she no longer feels like a little sis?  "Proving" herself to Jack as she stated before leaving?  Seemed like the news of Allison n Jack moving in together hit Jo a little harder than you'd expect from a sister-type.  She looked not only hurt but crushed/wounded.  She had no problems telling Zane goodbye, but Jack, wasn't something she wanted to do- writing a letter instead.  hmmmmmmm?

Please explain why shows that are interesting, great characters, energetic, quirky and well, just plain FUN are the ones they getcha hooked on..... only to have them yank 'em away!   Get rid of crap- like Paranormal Witness or  Legend Quest, that kinda bunk can be found on other channels!!!!!

  8. That Season Finale was my most favorite besides the one from S1. Like how Jo wants some alone-time and I'm still unsure if the Senator's motivations might be closer to Beverly then we think.
Yeah, this big hiatus sucks, but I'll be patiently waiting for the last episodes of this fun show!

  9. Did NOT see that coming.

I was sailing along, having figured out that Jo was leaving town, thinking how sweet this finale was...an we that the little touching musical montage...then  WHAM!  Did NOT expect a hijacking.  And yet, a hijacking, seems perfect.  (first thought Beverly.)   ( Once they mentioned the jump seat I quit worrying about Allison.)

Loved Allison calling Carter on his taking 4 years to ask her out on a date.
Loved the scene with Jo and Carter.  Liked her reason for going on walkabout.
Loved the 'Surly Teens' priorities when asked about moving in with Carter.  'Will S.A.R.A.H. clean my room?'  LOL  (Though I was a little surprised Carter didn't propose.  Do you think he was scared she'd say 'no'?)

Now, I'm anxious for the new eps to start airing.

  10. re: Jo -  She hesitated to say yes with Previous-Zane proposed.  So maybe whatever issue caused her to hesitate then hasn't been resolved even though she hooked up with New-Zane.  Which comes together, in my mind, to make me think that her walkabout is a good idea.  Maybe she does need to figure out what she wants.  I didn't read her reaction to Carter asking Allison the same way you did.  To me it read more like a 'I really am a third wheel' kind of reaction.

re: cancellation of really good stuff - I actually to have a theory...I got it from watching sitcoms, believe it or not.  My theory is that the networks want giant numbers...which means that they need their shows to appeal to the largest segment of the masses possible. The more derivative something is the greater the chance that a large cross section of the public  will like it.  It's why science fiction has never fared really well on the networks.  A smaller group of the public likes science fiction than, say, cop shows.  I had really hoped that a network dedicated to science fiction like (and I know it was unreasonable of me) the Sci Fi Channel...would like science fiction.  Alas, I was wrong.   I haven't looked at Eureka's ratings in a really long time. I don't have a good guess as to why *it* was cancelled...unless maybe SyFy wants to toss its duckets at something new and it couldn't do both at once?

  11. I agree. She probably does seem like a third wheel.

  12. Awesome finale!

Random thoughts. I'm guessing either Allison got herself  strapped into the jumpseat in time before the "jump" or the Astraeus  was diverted by Beverly & co and went somewhere else still on earth, possibly an elaborate "SIM Titan", similar to one in Eureka... so it wouldn't necessarily matter if Allison was strapped in not.

Jack is afraid Allison will turn him down if he proposes; Allison agreeing to move in with him (and Kevin's enthusiasm channeled into a typical teen's desire to get out of cleaning his room) in a huge first step. Allison is likely still mourning Nathan's death and a is little too emotionally tender to consider re-marrying yet. Jack has never had the best luck in his relationships. Neither wants to tempt fate yet.

Until S5 starts and finishes (cries) it can be assumed that Carter and the rest of the geniuses will be busy finding the Astreus and coping with the normal crises in Eureka, plus I'm assuming that Jenna and Kevin will move in with Jack and there is going to be a live babysitter plus SARAH.

Jo's walkabout is a great idea. She can "find" herself and decide how she feels about Zane. I definitely think she loves him and New!Zane loves her but as she's said she's always lived up to other people's expectations and never found/identified what she needs to be fulfilled. I think she'll return from "Walkabout" and realize that she's Dorothy in the WoOZ; there's no place like home and Eureka and Zane need her as much as she needs them.

  13. This was one of the few cliffhanger-related twists that genuinely surprised me.  Nice job, Eureka.  Also, this episode had one of my favorite Jack lines ever:

"First my PDA has a camera, now black holes are everywhere.  People need to know these things!"
