I watched this mainly because I loved the original but this just wasn't very good at all. I will try a couple more episodes, I always try to give a show at least 3 episodes to hook me but I don't have high hopes for this at all....
I was so disappointed with the show. Everything was bad, i am shocked abc even considered airing that rubbish. The acting was the worst i have ever seen. I will i give it one more episode, and if it is as bad, i'll be sone with the show. So unimpressed.
Its not that I was disappointed, I expected it to be terrible…I mostly watch it because of Rachel Taylor, and just to get a laugh. The reviews were just about right, but if I were still a child I would think this tv show is awesome…so therefore, I will watch a couple more episodes.
I did not watch it but that was exactly what I expected it to be. I thought it may find enough people that can accept its faults because of the action or hot women.....
I also had to watch this for myself to see just exactly how bad it was. In that respect, Charlie's Angels did not disappoint. This pilot was terrible.
The dialogue and line delivery in the two scenes directly after the car bomb were the most excruciating I have witnessed in years. It was embarrassing. An honorable mention goes to the horribly spastic camera work during the fight scenes.
Everyone on this show was awful except for Rachel Taylor and there were segments where she wasn't so great either.
Have you ever watched a pilot of a television program and wondered "if the network executives watched the same pilot I just did, why in the world would they green light this turd?" There have been a few shows in the past decade in that particular category:
Cavemen Emeril Knight Rider Viva Laughlin Tarzan The Mullets Father of the Pride K-Ville Kath & Kim Past Life Commando Nanny (It was a real show. I promise)
You can count this show among those infamously bad decisions.
Commando Nanny is special. The WB gave the show the green light but canceled the show before it ever aired. Here's a clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb9t8nyW4Hc
I didn't see the episode but I can imagine what it was like.
Charlie's Angels was a programme of it's time, a time when it was more unusual to see young, pretty women in what was considered a male profession, but now that's no longer so. Women detectives are a dime a dozen now, so if they wanted Charlie's Angels to be a hit they should have found a new twist on it.
I could have suggested "Charlotte's Male Angels" or maybe Charlie's Demons!!!
wow now i see why ABC gave all their marketing budget to revenge if Charlie's Angel was their #2 marketing priority i hate to image what the rest are like
Oh man. Tarzan. That script made me hysterical. I ranted. Read pages to my best friend and ranted at the horribleness of it all and ranted. She finally got a crowbar and pried my fingernails out of the ceiling.
I couldn't respond to the whole list but there was a point, back in the day...just after the restriction was removed that had prevented the networks producing as well. I know the rumor was out there for NBC that when their production arm started the network had to guarantee a certain number of shows from their production arm would make it on the air. The first season that happened...the shows were *bad* and didn't last long.
I'm struggling as we speak, shall I continue to watch or shouldn't I? Hmmm... acting = bad, script = bad... Ok decision made...I gave it 16 minutes and I've seen enough....
I'm not sure that there's a show in the last decade that made it to air, except for maybe Viva Laughlin, that was as embarrassing as Tarzan.
A significant portion of the cast are still working steadily (Mitch Pileggi, Leighton Meester, Lucy Lawless, & Sarah Wayne Callies) and I'm sure they would all prefer it if this show was never mentioned again.
Rachael Taylor is wasting her time and talent on this show, it is quite bad. But, it's the kind of show which is so bad, it's almost good. The music was great, the actresses are gorgeous, even though Annie and Minka sucked. It's not awful, there are worse things than this, and I guess it would deserve a Poor rating, but I'll give it an OK. My guess is that it won't have another season, assuming it won't be cancelled earlier. Looks like it will be a guilty pleasure kind of show for me.
The performances were so bad (I've watched Annie Ilonzeh on General Hospital and she wasn't this bad.) that I was wondering if, at least that batch of issues, were with the director.
I was very disappoint with this show. Acting is awful. Plot is poor. Girls are not even good looking compare to Pam Am and Revenge. All the girls in Charlie Angels better take some more acting lesson. Don't wast you time on this show. Go see Revenge and Pam AM instead
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I HAD to watch this show strictly for comedy purposes.... it was as lame as advance reviews said it was.

This is the most predictable new series this season to date!
