Person of Interest - New trailer (introduced by cast of TBBT)
Sep 11, 2011
Person of Interest The Big Bang TheoryThe cast of The Big Bang Theory is introducing what I think is a new trailer (it may not be, well at least the intro is new) for the highly ancipated CBS drama Person of Interest, premiering right after Chuck Lorre's hit sitcom in 11 days :
Person of Interest, airing in the toughest timeslot of the week (in front of Grey's Anatomy, The Office and Bones), has all the ingredients to be a young-skewing drama, and there are not many of them on CBS, so it makes sense to promote it with the help of The Big Bang Theory stars, since this show is quite a success particularly on the 18-49 key demographic (more than 4% of the people between 18 and 49 years old watched this comedy each week, last season) and they both air on Thursday nights :
Thursday, September 22 :
08:00pm : The Big Bang Theory (episode 5.01 - The Skank Reflex Analysis).
08:30pm : The Big Bang Theory (episode 5.02 - The Infestation Hypothesis).
09:00pm : Person of Interest (episode 1.01 - Pilot).
10:00pm : The Mentalist (episode 4.01 - Scarlet Ribbons).
Thursday, September 29 :
08:00pm : The Big Bang Theory (episode 5.03 - The Pulled Groin Extrapolation).
08:30pm : How to Be a Gentleman (episode 1.01 - Pilot).
09:00pm : Person of Interest (episode 1.02 - Ghosts).
10:00pm : The Mentalist (episode 4.02 - Little Red Book).

Not exaclty a show I would connect to TBBT but I guess they wanted to hook as many viewers as possible with this.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have expected TBBT cast to introduce the show but it sounds like they were introducing ALL the new shows. I'm excited that there will be 2 TBBT episodes the first night. On this schedule it looks like Person of Interest is in a sweet place on CBS' schedule. In between TBBT and The Mentalist is a prime position, especially after How to be a Gentleman tanks and something else is put in its place.
ReplyDeleteI just hope "How to be a Gentleman" doesn't kill Person of Interest. I am looking forward to Person of interest but placing it after a visibly lousy show makes me worry.
ReplyDeleteI think this is just a part of CBS fall preview 2011. Every year they make a half hour program about the new pilots of the season, hosted by one or more of their stars. This time, it's big bang theory I guess. And also, if I am not mistaken, both these shows air on the same night, so there's that.
ReplyDeleteNerds like The Big Bang Theory and they also like JJ Abrams and Michael Emerson playing a character similar to Ben Linus from Lost. It's not a big stretch.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it could be really interesting! *adds it to her ''try out this year'' show list.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell? He also made Fringe. Why couldn't they have advertised that?
ReplyDeleteBest preview for Person of Interest so far.
ReplyDeleteI guess I knew exactly what it was about and going to be, but maybe this promo will move more people off the fence.
Well great. I feel like I've seen the whole pilot now.
