Ok time for me to go crazy: Last year's episode called "Subject 13" was referring to Olivia... Though, on the Height chart you see in "Olivia in the lab..." she is on the 11th position starting from the bottom... Hence, there is two other subjects that are not listed here (me brainstorming on it would say that it is because subjects number 1 and 2 could be Walter and Bell)... Anyway, if we consider those two "missing subjects" and calibrate again the height chart, subject 9 would be.....*drums drums drums*.... NICK LANE!!!
I'd love if it's Nick. But there is also a theory going around that it wasn't a coincidence that Clark Lee showed up in 17th episode of season 3 because before that in both 17th episodes we met cortexi kids for the first time.
That's not exactly true. James Heath appeared in episode 16 of S2, unless you count Unearthed, some count it as part of S2, some don't. And then Simon appeared in episode 3.12. Not much of a pattern here.
Wonder if Olivia's number changed ("it's still an odd number), or if we are going to meet another cortixifaner...of course I don't think we know/knew the numbers of Nick Lane or James Heath...but it sounds like a flashback episode of some sort...
Of course it couldalso be another test entirely...
ya! and in addition in James Heath's episode we also met Amanda Green and Loyd Becker who were also other cortixfan subjects since that was the only way Heath could survive-by stealing the others powers as he gave them cancer...
In season one we meet Nick Lane in episode 1x17 --and then like you said, the twins Pratt and Lewis in 1x19...Sally Clark also doesn't appear until episode 2x20....
Subject 9 is Cameron. Remember the casting notice about a month ago. The description of the character fit a cortexiphan subject. Cameron is also in the list of names from Jacksonville.
I love coming here and reading everyone's theories! There are some really good ones here that will have my mind reeling till we figure it our. (Or at least see episodic stills from that episode.) LOL!
With last season Subject 13 been a flashback to Olivia, I would be temped to say it was another back-story on one Cortexiphan but feel that too easy. Definitively would be surprise if did not have something to do with Cortexiphan trails. Nick lane would be good guess as at the end of the season 2 was a hint that there more to that story or to the alternative Nick
That's right! Totally forgot about that spoiler! Thanks!!!!!!!
I am curious as to the name Cameron...I often notice a lot of riffs and or similarities within Bad Robot works...one LOST ARG was the book, "Bad Twin" in this alternate reality we see another section of the family of Widmore family, --Aurther Widmore and his twin sons 'Zander' (Alexander) and Cliff...'As it was a murder mystery novel, Zander took on an alias, Cameron Purdue --would be interesting if this character some how would relate to that....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Oooh I wonder if we're going back to Jacksonville. Even if we're not it will be interesting to see another test subject.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we have already met "Subject #9" and this will fill in some backstory... Either way I always like the Cortexiphan reference episodes.
ReplyDeleteLove me some Walter experiments (I hope that's what it is)

hum hum... :)
I am not even going to guess. Fringe always surprises me. So I will let them surprise me again.
ReplyDeleteNot a big fan on the similar title to Subject 13, but I'll let it slide if it's the "Past" storyline from the perspective of Peter dying not living

ReplyDeleteIt must be Nick Lane, please! The cortexikids are awesome and so are the eps with them, i'm excited to see this ep!
ReplyDeleteCould be Nick. Or maybe even Peter himself.
ReplyDeleteThat's not exactly true. James Heath appeared in episode 16 of S2, unless you count Unearthed, some count it as part of S2, some don't. And then Simon appeared in episode 3.12. Not much of a pattern here.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably another Cortexiphan subject. I hope it's better than the one from Concentrate And Try Again.

ReplyDeleteMy bet is Our Lincoln and this is how he met Nick Lane.

ReplyDeleteI've been wondering that since the season 2 finale
ReplyDeleteSooo Cool, can't wait!!

Damn you just blew my mind! :)
ReplyDeleteHope its another Cortexiphan kid or one we know already
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I don't think Fringe has spent enough time on Olivia's ability and the effects of her Cortexiphan trials.
ReplyDeleteNews you can use. Love it. Thanks for the informative post.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, and I hope so!
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting. Would be great to see more of the Cortexiphan trials if this is what the title refers to.
