Charlie's Angles - Crew Member Fired After Butt-Slapping Minka Kelly

21 Sept 2011

according to sources directly connected to the production ... is that the man did indeed slap Kelly, and sources at ABC tell us, she responded by telling him, "Please don't ever disrespect me or any other woman like that again."

Some of the witnesses told ABC honchos, and given the network's zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment, the dude was immediately banned from the set and subsequently fired.

We're told Minka did not want to get the guy fired and had nothing to do with the decision -- she was friendly with the man and upset that he lost his job after moving his family to town for the job.

And, ABC sources say, this was not an isolated incident -- the guy had done it before to other women.

  1. Good. He deserved to be fired for that.

  2. Why would you think slapping the ass of one of your co-workers, especially a female star, would be a good idea? Of course you're gonna get fired!

  3. He's been watching too many Mad Men episodes.

  4. People still do that? How does it feel in the shallow end of the gene pool?

  8. Why would you move to the town to work on Charlie's Angels? It's not like the show will hang around for long time...

  10. Sure he was fired, but it would be worth losing your job over. I'm sure he feels the same.

  11. Is this guy crazy or what? So nonsense.

  12. Anybody should have enough sense to know not to do that to someone else let alone a well known actress and if he was guilty of doing it before like that said then he should have already been fired...

  13. This made me laugh.
My first thought was that maybe Charlie's Divas would be a better series title.

My second thought was, what a moron. I don't get the butt-slapping thing when athletes do it or fraternity types. I have friends that do it to one another quite a lot and I know they're not hitting on one another or trying to cop a feel. But as a crew member to do it to a star - male or female - is just moronic and silly!

  14. Unfortunately, this seems to be the only thing of any interest to come from the Charlie's Angels reboot so far.

  15. I was going to say does he think he's Don Draper and he obviously doesn't realise its not the 60's!
