Cancelled Shows
As the powerful second season of THE BIG C draws to a shocking conclusion on Monday, September 26th, SHOWTIME has picked up a third season of the critically-acclaimed comedy series starring Laura Linney as a reserved, suburban wife/mother/teacher whose terminal cancer diagnosis forces her to shake up her life and find the light side of a dark situation. Ten new episodes will go into production starting early next year for debut in the second quarter of 2012.
so happy! I love the show!
ReplyDeleteGreat news!
ReplyDeleteOne of the best 30-minute comedies on TV...
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY ! I'm so happy.
ReplyDeleteAlong with Curb your Enthusiasm and Wilfred, this is my favorite half-hour comedy on the air this summer, and definitely one of the best shows on TV.
Sometimes shows keep on going just because of their ratings, but here that's clearly not the case. The story demanded it, the show is outstanding : much deserved renewal. I have to say that each time I finished an episode of The Big C lately, I was worried it could be over soon since the show had not been renewed yet and the ratings are pretty low. YAY ! We'll get to see winter then. Such a treat to watch this show.
But 10 episodes, really ? What I like is that seasons 1 and 2 each have 13 episodes, and since each season is depicting a season (summer for season 1, autumn for season 2), it felt appropriate (each season of the year lasting 13 weeks). Having 52 episodes over 4 seasons for this show would have been nice.
I could be upset about that reduced third season but I'm so happy that the show got renewed in the first place that I will get over it. Thanks, Showtime !
good news! this show is great
