Archer - Season 3 - First trailer

This fall, 3 new episodes of Archer will air for 3 weeks on Thursdays at 10:30pm on FX (right after the first three episodes of the 7th season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) : on September 15th, 22th and 29th.

The League's third season (13 episodes) will take over on October 6th.

Here is the first trailer for these special episodes starting in 2 weeks :



13 new episodes of Archer will air from January to April 2012, so that's pretty cool. This 'special assignment' makes up for the 10-episode first season, I guess.

    It's cool that Archer's getting 16 episodes this year, the show was absoutely hilarious last season, can't wait for more!

    While the production codes for the episodes certainly seem to be "season 3" episodes, it's anybody's guess as to what DVD set they'll wind up on.  There still is no confirmed release date for the Archer season 2 DVD.

    Okay, straight from the horses mouth...Adam Reed, the writer of Archer, confirms that the 3-episode arc is considered to be part of season 3.  However, even he seems to be a little hazy on why the "season premiere" of season 3 is said to be in January.  The 3 episode arc is a standalone story, apparently unrelated to the plot of the rest of season 3.

    It's going to be very confusing watching Archer this season after having seen Bob's Burgers. He doesn't change his voice IN THE LEAST for either role... So... Yeah. Middle Age Slob vs. Moronic yet Fit Superspy. Pretty different.
