Hey Guys,
Most surprising yesterday was how little of an impact last years champion Jack Shephard and online favourite Chuck Bartowski made on either Castiel or Kate Beckett. Both managed only 30% of the votes despite nearly reaching 1,000 votes in the process, yet especially Chuck fans will wonder how they failed to reach the levels of support the show received in the show competition. As a result Castiel & Kate Beckett both progress, and with Castiel holding the top two most amount of votes collated over the competition stands a real chance of surpassing his more experienced Winchester brothers!
Today is a big day for Supernatural fans, with both brothers fighting to find themselves in an all-Winchester battle in round three. The characters standing in the way of this are Ziva David of NCIS for Dean, and Temperence Brennan of Bones for Sam. Both aren't "walk in the park" match ups so it will be interesting to see if either shows can do anything to stop the Winchester steamroller...
Currently leading the prediction competition is Dahne, who has held only the lead on a day that caused mayhem on many brackets. Amber English and JerMd both join Dahne on 34 points, and the competition is getting tougher and tougher to call now. To see your score head HERE
For anyone new to the competition the rules are simple. Every day there will be a new set of polls between characters who are bidding to become the winner of the second STV Character Competition.
All you have to do is to vote for whichever characters are your favourite and at the end of the 24 hours whichever character has more votes will be the winner and will progress into the next round. There are three rounds before the quarter finals, semi finals and then the final...
Don't forget to tweet, facebook, google+ and spread the word about the characters and shows you love to try and boost your chances of winning.

oh this one is painful! I love Ziva and Bones! but I'm afraid the ESPECIALLY on the eve of the series premier I have to vote for the Winchesters.

That way, it will give someone else a chance to move up a bit and more importantly, it won't then later force us SN fans to vote against one or the other!!! You KNOW if you didn't match them up against each other, they would both always be in the FINAL round against each other for 1st and 2nd place!

ReplyDeleteSorry Ziva & Temperance, much as a like you both, my heart belongs to the Winchesters. And no my judgment is NOT based on pure fangirly-ness. I truly admire the characters - the sheer determination that gets them through hell (literally) and the brotherly bond that's had them watching each other's backs (well..... mostly) for almost 7 seasons (YAAAAAAAYYYYY for S7 premiere in ONE more sleep!)

ReplyDeleteOh, come on!! I love Cas too, but would NEVER vote for him over Sam or Dean!! I just wish Jared/Sam could win over Jensen/Dean ONCE in a while. It's always close when it happens, but Dean always seems to win. Don't get me wrong, I love him, too, but with the range of characters that Jared/Sam had to play this year, he really deserves some recognition!! Whatever! Season 7 starts TOMORROW!! Bring it on!!

The Fringe love is deep around here too so I wouldn't expect Supernatural to take one and two even if the brothers didn't run against each other so early. I think Supernatural has a hard road ahead of it once it gets to the ending matches.

ReplyDeleteBecause their hypocrisy and double standard last season is still pissing me off...their "me me me" attitude sometimes just drives me up the wall but that's just my opinion and I don't want this to start a war of why Dean/Sam is awesome b/c I know they are awesome, that's why I love them and watch them, but they also annoy me three ways to Sunday sometimes and this just happened to be one of those times. Hopefully it will pass and S7 will get better.

i think a big part of that is the way sam's character played out in season 4. i know that's what did it for me. before then i could never choose a favourite but since then i've been a dean girl. and i love sam. especially since season 5. but i just find it hard to vote sam over dean because of that chapter in the story. i would also love to see some more sam love

ReplyDeleteSince my brackets are already in the toilet, I'll be voting for Sam and then heading for my bunker. Because if I stick around, the Sam vs Dean wars make me so mad that I'll end up getting in trouble for saying something wrong or losing my temper over these idiots who can't just enjoy the show and the bond of brotherhood that is the heart of the story. Sam may be my favorite but without Dean he'd be nothing, and I do not call myself a Sam girl anymore because both sides annoy me to no end. Although the Dean girls around here of late... ick I probably sound like a typical Sam girl compared to them.
