Hey Guys,
Yesterday was the biggest day of the competition so far, as Ziva David & Dean Winchester both soared into round two. Dean saw over 2,000 votes to smash his way to an 82% score over Alicia Florrick who had no answer and Ziva managed to grind out a victory over the tough competition of Eric Northman with just over 52% of the votes...
Today sees the second Winchester brother, Sam take on Sookie Stackhouse for a place in round two and drawing closer the potential for a Winchester Round three battle. Also today Temperance Brennan takes on The Big Bang Theory's Penny for place in round two. Time to see who will be victorious!

For anyone new to the competition the rules are simple. Every day there will be a new set of polls between characters who are bidding to become the winner of the second STV Character Competition.
All you have to do is to vote for whichever characters are your favourite and at the end of the 24 hours whichever character has more votes will be the winner and will progress into the next round. There are three rounds before the quarter finals, semi finals and then the final...
Don't forget to tweet, facebook, google+ and spread the word about the characters and shows you love to try and boost your chances of winning.

ReplyDeleteThe second round is more difficult. I enjoy both shows but neither of the two main female leads are why I enjoy them. Plus their roles are so different that it is hard to compare. Penny can be charming but she can also grate on my last nerve. I am so over the Booth and Bones relationship that at this time I would rather them not be together at all, kid or no kid. They drew the "will they won't they" out so long that I am no longer interested in "they did". I guess in the end I vote Brennan because her character has more depth, but I'm seriously thinking that after 6 seasons I may bid farewell to Bones, especially if I get hooked on some new shows. I will always love Hodges and Angela though.

I don't like Sam as much as I like Dean, but he is very deep and complicated character. So he has my vote without any question. Go Sammy.

Actually Hodges is the last name of the kid I had just put into the library system. Teach me to multitask between school and fun. :-P Sorry about the confusion. And yes, Hodgins is still my favorite character on Bones. Perhaps I should just call him Jack.

ReplyDeleteSecond one was harder.Bones and Penny are good characters but they can also annoy me from time to time.In the end,I think that I like Bones a little bit more.But truth is that I'm getting a little tired with Bones(as a show).I never watched it regularly but I'm always catching up and I really like it,but I think that they dragged the whole thing with Booth and Brenna way too long...

ReplyDeleteCould not agree more on both accounts. They have effectively cancelled any thrill I would have had 3 seasons ago about Booth and Bones getting together. I will watch the first few episodes, but right now Bones is on my "may drop" list.
ReplyDeleteI'd argue that Angela is the heart of the show. Bones is the lead and the brains of the show, but Angela is the one that makes the other characters relatable and shows us another side of them.

ReplyDeleteYes, Angela is sweet and charming and beautiful and we can't not love her and yes, Brennan can be seen as cold-hearted when you compare her to Angela... But Brennan has shown many times (because of Angela AND Booth) that she can be that person with a really big heart. I enjoyed watching her evolve emotionally through the seasons, more than watching Angela, well being Angela.
