Game of Thrones - Season 2 - Casting News - Quaithe and Black Lorren cast
19 Aug 2011
Game of ThronesGerman-born actress Laura Pradelska tweeted...
"Just finished my first costume fitting for ‘Game of thrones’. Playing a priestess called “Quaith” in the next season. #soexcited".
The last non-official tweet was from Oona Chaplin, so this one looks pretty legit too.
Here's her showreel:
Westeros has a 14-minute video of Laura for in thethose that want to see her in action... click the source.

Also Forbes KB has been cast as the fierce Ironborn warrior, Black Lorren.
Here's his showreel:

Quaithe the masked sorceress is well, masked.... so her appearance is not as important as many roles I guess. That showreel is odd, but it did make me want strawberries!
ReplyDeleteForbes certainly has the look of the Ironborn and a warrior... so he should kill it.
Psssst casting leak gods.... We all want to know who Ygritte is!
Yeah, give us Ygritte! Though if I recall correctly, she only has like one scene in CoK :D
ReplyDeletecool! and about Oona... I don't know if I read here or I dreamed about it, but I remember something about being Jane Westerling? is that correct? maybe you have already posted it here ... :/ xD
ReplyDeleteRight, most of her time is in ASoS or will be in Season 3, but we may see more of her in Season Two if they expend a few scenes or create a few new ones.... maybe.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't say I've ever seen Laura Pradelska in anything on German TV although I don't actually watch that many German/Austrian productions.
ReplyDeleteLorren also is also a blank page for me.
I'm wondering if they are going for a 'big' name for Ygritte and are waiting for the moment to announce it
ReplyDeleteShe was just on Doctor Who I read, but I haven't watched that for a year or two now....
ReplyDeleteYa I really want to see who the cast as Ygritte
ReplyDeleteWell she is Jeyne, but HBO has not released her last name yet.
ReplyDeleteThere is specualtion she is Westerling...
some people think she is Jeyne Poole...
and other's think she may be Alton Lannister's (in the books the role was Cleos Frey) wife Jeyne Darry.
A big name or bigger name may make sense for the role to ad some wight to that side of the world....
ReplyDeleteI'm still thinking it's going to end up being Rachel Hurd-Wood for some reason. She's part of Troika Talent Agency that has other clients on Thrones like Richard Madden (Robb Stark), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Hannah Murray (Gilly), Carice van Houten (Melisandre), and Oona Chaplin (Jeyne ?). Nina Gordon seems to have a direct line to Troika....
Honestly though I would not mind a biggish name.
I read in some webs that she was Westerling... but maybe they're just guessing... we'll have to wait for HBO! :D
ReplyDeleteThat was my first reaction when I heard she was cast even before hearing she was a "Jeyne".
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any site that was positive jsut yet but if you see any sites that say it with any confirmation let us know! :)
oh, I edited the previous comment and put a web XD
ReplyDeleteCool thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is they have no confirmation either, but are assuming it's Westerling... I think that is the most likely, but until HBO releases an official last name, I will leave the door open a little...
Rachel would be a good match and your right they do love that agency!
ReplyDeleteOh right.. can anyone remind me what Black Lorren does in the books? No matter how hard I try, I atill can't seem to learn my characters :D
ReplyDeleteHe's one of Theon's Ironborn warriors that travels from the Iron Islands with him.. I don't want to spoil to much for others who have not read that far.
ReplyDeleteThanks, at least now I know where to look in the book :)
ReplyDeleteyes, better to be sure!! :)
