Norman, did you already enjoy horror stories, specifically zombie stories?
Norman Reedus: I TOTALLY ENJOY HORROR FILMS. IM A BIG FAN. I LOVE JOHN CARPENTERS FILMS I WAS REALLY EXCITED TO GET THE CHANCE TO WORK WITH HIM. HE AND DARIO ARGENTO ARE TWO OF MY FAVORITES.
Did you already knew the Walking Dead Comics before you join the TV Series? Do you like Comics?
NR: I DID KNOW THEM. I'M A FAN. I REALLY HOPE IM INCLUDED IN THEM IN THE FUTURE. THAT WOULD BE SO RAD.
As an actor, do you think The Walking Dead will be a kind of waters divisor to your career?
NR: WATERS DIVISOR? WHATS THAT MEAN. DO I THINK IT WILL BRING A NEW GROUP TO ME AND VICE VERSA. YEAH I WOULD THINK SO. THE SHOW IS MY FAVORITE JOB TO DATE. I HOPE IT LASTS FOREVER.
Did they give you guys any general prospect to how is gonna be the second season or everything is unknown yet?
NR: I HAVE NO IDEA. I WISH I DID.
How would you describe Normans’ relation with the other actors? Do you have any connection or friendship with someone there?
NR: I HAVE THE BEST RELATIONSHIP WITH ALL OF THEM. THEY ARE SUCH PROS AND JUST THE BEST PEOPLE TO HANG WITH. I CONSIDER ALL OF THEM REALLY GOOD FRIENDS.
Daryl looks like a kind of caracther, to us, like a ‘lone wolf’, the misunderstood bad boy, but we see there a Dary – in his own way – socialized and important member of the crew. Do you think that some moment Daryk could lead them all?
NR: I DONT KNOW IF DARYL WANTS THAT SORT OF RESPONSIBILITY BUT I THINK HE COULD DEF HANDLE IT. I THINK AT THIS POINT HES A PRETTY RELIABLE PERSON TO HAVE ON YOUR TEAM. BUT I THINK IF YOU WANTED TO HAVE A HEART TO HEART WITH HIM HED PROBABLY LOOK AT YOU LIKE YOUR CRAZY.
Oh, and you could suggest to the prodution team to play the song 'Bad to the Bone' (George Thoroughgood’s) in action scenes when Daryl is killing up some zombies, couldn’t you? I think it would be great (laughs)!
NR: HAHHA THAT WOULD BE TOO COOL. MAYBE SOME SLAYER WOULD BE EVEN BETTER.
Do you think the series may contribute to awake a critical view of the society, as the way things happen around the World, I mean, non-ending conflicts, Stem cells researchs, biological weapons…?
NR: THERES SURELY SOME UNIVERSAL THEMES GOING ON IN THE SHOW. IM MORE THAN CURIOUS TO SEE HOW IT ALL ENDS UP AND WHAT OTHER ISSUES THEY TAKE ON, EVEN INDIRECTLY.
For Brazilian fans, you became one of the series idols. Do you hope Daryl becomes one of the long-living carachters of the series?
NR: I HOPE DARYL LASTS 14 SEASONS. I HOPE HE HAS LITTLE DARYLS AND A MISS DARYL AND THEY ALL CARRY CROSSBOWS. AS A FAMILY. AND MAYBE RAISE BABY SQUIRRELS.
