Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 8 - 10 things You Need To Know

Hello, Larry! We've missed the antics of Larry David and his 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' pals, but our lives will be Larry-less no more, as the eighth season of 'Curb' kicks off this weekend (Sun., July 10, 10PM ET on HBO).

We hosted the official first look at the new season in May, with glimpses of guest stars like Michael J. Fox, 'Mad Men' star Rich Sommer and Paul F. Tompkins among the familiar funny faces.

And even more big names have been announced since then, including Ricky Gervais, Rosie O'Donnell, Michael McKean and the return of Cheryl's BFF Wanda Sykes.

But none of this news, or the promise of Larry terrorizing NYC for at least half the season, has curbed anything -- we just want more information!

Here, 10 things to get you in the mood for what just might be the show's best season yet.

1. The season premiere is titled 'The Divorce,' but don't assume you know whose divorce that refers to. Or that there will be just one divorce in the new season ...

2. The catchphrase for Season 8: "social assassin." No surprise, it's used to describe Larry, who embraces the title like never before.

3. Among the season's guest stars: Michael J. Fox, Ricky Gervais, Richard Lewis, Michael McKean, Paul F. Tompkins, Gary Cole, Robert Smigel, Rich Sommer, Rosie O'Donnell, Harry Hamlin, Wanda Sykes, Bill Buckner, Samantha Mathis, Larry Miller, Michael Gross and Ana Gasteyer.

4. Among the people Larry tangles with in season eight: Michael J. Fox, Ricky Gervais, Richard Lewis, Michael McKean, Paul F. Tompkins, Gary Cole, Robert Smigel and Rich Sommer.

5. He also continues to have problems with the ladies, of all ages. His Season 8 female foes include, as always, Susie Essman; a group of cookie-slinging Girl Scouts; teen Sammi -- the daughter of Susie and Jeff -- who has become more and more like her mother; and a woman on an airplane.

6. Larry will spend half the season in Los Angeles and half the season in New York City, and the impetus for his stay in the Big Apple is one of those trademark Larry situations that could only happen to him.

7. Ever wonder what Larry David was like as a young boy? We find out in an episode called 'Mister Softee.' The storyline is too delicious to spoil here, but suffice it to say that it is not only one of the greatest scenes in 'Curb' history, but it also explains a lot about Larry and why he is the way he is.

8. Ice cream is no friend to Larry this season; both Pinkberry and Mister Softee cause him big problems in different episodes.

9. Leon's back! J.B. Smoove's scene stealer is still living in Casa de David, inexplicably, and the Larry/Leon bromance continues to be as hilarious as ever.

10. Season 8 may be the show's most sexual season ever, in storylines involving Palestinian chicken, the aforementioned Mister Softee and Larry's car.
