With Agent June Stahl (Ally Walker) meeting her glorious demise (thanks Opie), there was an opening over at Sons of Anarchy for a tough-talking female law enforcement officer.
That’s where Entourage star Debi Mazar steps in.
Our friends at Monsters and Critics broke the news that Mazar is joining the fourth season of SOA as a federal parole officer. Just how she’ll interact with Jax (Charlie Hunnam), Clay (Ron Perlman, Gemma (Katey Sagal) and gang remains to be seen, though it’s reasonable to assume she’ll be one of SAMCRO’s parole agents. The gang, who went to jail on weapons charges at the end of Season 3, is expected to either still be in prison or have completed their incarcerated time when the narrative picks up this Fall.
Mazar, who kicked off her acting career with a role in Martin Scorsese’s Goodfella’s, is known for her sharp-tongue and New York accent. Her commanding screen presence is all the more reason to anticipate her arrival in Charming. Can you imagine her facing off against Gemma in a war of words? Or better yet, in a death-match?
Mazar isn’t the only infusion of new blood into the FX series. As we previously reported, Danny Trejo (Breaking Bad, Machete), Rockmond Dunbar (Prison Break), Niko Nicotera (Rome) and Fernanda Andrade (Fallen TV mini-series) have all been cast for the upcoming season.
Mazar is currently making her last turn as Shauna in Entourage’s Eighth season, where rumor has it that she just may be impregnated by Johnny Drama. Besides Entourage, Mazar is no stranger to the small screen. She’s been in series like Ugly Betty, Burn Notice and Castle.
