Guillermo del Toro has offered a status update on his Incredible Hulk television series.
The Mexican filmmaker told FEARnet that the live-action adaptation is well into the scripting stage.
"We turned in the outline to ABC about four weeks ago," he told the website. "And then we did a rewrite for ABC on the outline, and now we are lining up the pages."
Del Toro, who is developing the project with Battlestar Galactica producer David Eick, went on to say that the show will feature an entirely new take on the Marvel Comics hero.
"One of the points of this project early on with Marvel was, 'We're going to do this thing different, and here's how. Are you interested?' And they were," he added.
Incredible Hulk is being scheduled for an autumn 2012 debut.
