The final day of Round Two has arrive with a couple of cracking polls to take us into the Quarter Finals... Before I continue though, I 'd like to remind people that we have opened the nomination stages for the Best TV Show competition and if you would like to make sure your favourite TV show makes the final 64, then head HERE
Yesterday saw two bitterly close polls, with Chuck & Sarah beating Mulder & Scully by the smallest of margins and heading into the quarter finals, and will be joined by Chuck & Blair from Gossip Girl who defeated Finn & Rachel by a couple of hundred votes...
Today sees the chance for Glee to claim a place in the Quarter Finals, as Kurt and Blaine take on a tough opponent in Buffy Summers and Angel from Buffy. Also today we have a meaty matchup as Damon & Elena challenge Nikita & Michael for a place in the next round.

It's also unclear whether we're voting for "best of all time" i.e. the classics like Buffy/Angel, or the "current and therefore fun" i.e. Blaine/Kurt. Besides, do you even know how many (lgbt) lives KLAINE are saving right now just for simply existing on primetime television? I doubt you do that's why it's so easy for you to dismiss the epicness of Klaine.

I've watched all seasons of Buffy and in my personal opinion, I didn't feel the epic romance between them ever. In fact, I was more than glad when Angel moved on to his own show and they gave Spuffy a chance (of course, when Spike tried to rape Buffy, that put me off that pairing). If I were to name a Buffy couple that I would consider epic, it'd be handsdown Willow/Tara - she did try to end the world when Tara died.
ReplyDeleteMy point is, we all have our personal criteria of what an 'epic romance' is - (my own include Alexander/Hephaistion, Oliver/Chloe, Clark/Lois, etc.) Just because we see the story of Klaine (from the accidental/fated meeting at the stairs until the Prom dance scene) as more romantic than Bangel's doomed affair doesn't mean 'we know nothing'. You certainly don't see ANY Klainer in here bashing Buffy/Angel or any pairing for the matter so we'd appreciate it if you can extend the same courtesy to OUR chosen pair.

ReplyDeleteExcuse me? He's never done that. I guess you're referring to Special Education, when Kurt was auditioning for solo and Blaine explained to him how he'd succeed in THE WARBLERS, because Kurt ASKED for advice.
In Prom Queen Blaine was scared of them getting hurt (because the last time he stood out just by _dancing_ with another boy he got _beaten_up_) so he voiced his concern about the kilt. And in the end he manned up and danced with Kurt (who was wearing a goddamn tiara and the kilt) in front of everyone, so that's that. The poor thing was just terrified and traumatized by past events, but got over it.
He's NEVER had a problem with Kurt's flamboyance and personality itself. Do you really think Kurt would stick with someone who treated him badly and didn't want him to be himself?
Honestly, I don't get where this "Blaine wants to change Kurt" argument comes from. Those are the only two instances you could possibly fanwank into something like that, but the intent of the scenes is something completely different.
