I would have to say NBC : Awake is my priority for next season, The Playboy Club looks classy, Smash looks like the anti-Glee, I trust David Greenwalt for Grimm, The Firm will probably be a solid serialized thriller, and Up All Night/Free Agents don't look awful. Granted, there are awful upcoming shows like Whitney, BFF, Bent and Are You There Vodka ?, but all in all, that's the best lineup for me.
FOX is n°2, with exciting new shows like Terra Nova (dinosaurs !), Alcatraz (JJ Abrams !) and Touch (Kiefer Sutherland !). And Zooey Deschanel is too damn cute for me to pass on New Girl.
ABC has plenty of shows I will watch but I'm not really eager to see them, except maybe Pan Am. Most of their trailers have disappointed me (except Apt 23 which seems like a great comedy).
CBS and CW only have one new show I'm really excited about (Person of Interest and Ringer).
The only interesting ABC project seems to be Once Upon A Time, but the terrible promo pics, mediocre trailer and the fact the Lindeloff dropped out quite early, make me quite suspicious. CW barely has things that interest me and even though Ringer sound interesting, I don't see a show like this lasting very long a crap network like that. FOX doesn't really have anything interesting to me. I might be one of few, but I'm reserved for Alcatraz, not sure it'll be able to live up to the early hype and the rest seems pretty boring. NBC doesn't look that bad. Awake & Prime Suspect look solid, but I'm afraid Awake won't last very long. Playboy Club is just an attempt to have their own Mad Men, I'll stick with the original, Grimm will most likely be a procedural in a magic world and the rest didn't catch my attention.
CBS has with How To Be A Gentleman & Prime Suspect 2 shows I'm kind of looking forward to, so they got my vote.
is there any page where there is a list of every new show thats been confirmed witha synopsis cozs i don't remember what any of them are about (i don't have ads for them coz i don't live in the us)
Overall NBC has the best upcoming shows, but we will have to see how many actually make it to the next season. I bet most of this shows will have terrible ratings, so what next?
Actually the only show which will have strong premiere I believe is The New Girl, it has great promos, Zooey is easy on the eyes and great person to sell the show to audience. The Finder, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, Alcatraz - all duds to me. I think that Terra Nova will be a show which will premiere so-so (quality wise) and after couple of episodes the quality will go up and FOX will renew it since they pour in it so cash.
CBS, the only two shows I will see Persons of Interest and A Gifted Man. The first one is out of curiousity and the second one is penned by Susannah Grant, but I have a feeling that it will be butchered by CBS's notes.
ABC, no comment, and not in the bad way I just have no opininon on their schedule. Complete riddle to me. Shows sound good, but I just don't see it.
In theory NBC often has quite good shows. Their best comedies are still on air, but most of their dramas were cancelled or moved to other networks like Kings (still mourning...) or Southland.
I voted for the CW. Ringer, The Secret Circle & Hart of Dixie all look amazing!! My second favorite is NBC with Awake, Smash, Grimm & The Playboy Club. This upcoming tv season has so many interesting new shows!
First off, CBS is disqualified from this since there's no presentation for "The 2-2." There's only the synopsis and cast listing. FOX's lineup is a bit dull this year so you can eliminate them to. This leaves ABC, NBC, and The CW.
ABC: There are risky, intriguing shows like Once Upon a Time and Pan Am, a good comedy prospect with Apt. 23, and a pre-sold title with big name recognition. On the downside, they've got potential bombs all across their lineup.
NBC: Lots of potential bombs just like ABC but they've got a handful of shows with tons of buzz. Unfortunately, they've got plenty of risky titles too, like Awake, Grimm, and The Playboy Club. They also seem to have too many comedies, many of which don't look very good.
CW: Only three new shows and two of them are rather risky. Hart of Dixie is a whimsical adult/family drama which is something they haven't had good luck with since The Gilmore Girls ended. The other show, Ringer, is a more sophisticated, mature noir offering that will probably skew a bit older than The CW is accustom to and may not be a ratings winner. The Secret Circle, on the other hand, is firmly in the CW wheelhouse and will be a lock if no one screws it up.
In the end, the bar is lower over at The CW and the chances of success are higher. The CW takes it.
1. The CW 2. NBC (they're basically equal with ABC but the success of "The Voice" will attract more viewers to their new shows) 3. ABC 4. CBS 5. FOX
I voted for FOX only for "Alcatraz" (JJ Abrams) and "Touch" (Kiefer Sutherland/Tim Kring) but i am looking forward too for "Persons Of Interest" (CBS), "Ringer" (the CW) and "Awake" (NBC). Other show look like guilty pleasure (Charlie's Angels (ABC), The Secret Circle (the CW)) and one intruiging "Once Upon A Time" (ABC)
At this point, I will give any new show a try, except for anything on NBC. I have my own personal 'three strikes, you're out' policy, and I think I was disappointed by NBC more than three times, so I'm done.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I voted for ABC for Charlie's Angels but I would have voted for FOX too for Alcatraz
ReplyDeleteI went with Fox for Alcatraz :)

-Definitely FOX...
ReplyDelete"Terra Nova", "Alcatraz" and "The Finder" look all great. Even I'm so curious about "Touch".
-CBS: "Person of Interest" and maybe "Unforgettable".
-ABC: "The River" and maybe "Once Upon A Time (It looks a bit childish to me)"
-NBC: "Awake" and maybe "Grimm (This could be a mediocre supernatural drama)"
Fox, unfortunately they'll probably cancel the good one's, except one's by JJ, I think he has something to blackmail the Fox execs with...
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly for me I voted CBS.
ReplyDeleteThe only interesting ABC project seems to be Once Upon A Time, but the terrible promo pics, mediocre trailer and the fact the Lindeloff dropped out quite early, make me quite suspicious.

NBC with Awake, Grimm, Smash, and Prime Suspect.
ReplyDeleteNBC dramas are the best, but comedy is between ABC and FOX with Apartment 23, Suburgatory and The New Girl respectively.
ReplyDeletei voted cbs just for Person of Interest... But Alcatraz sounds equally interesting to me..
ReplyDeleteis there any page where there is a list of every new show thats been confirmed witha synopsis
ReplyDeletecozs i don't remember what any of them are about (i don't have ads for them coz i don't live in the us)

ReplyDeletedefinitely for FOX cause of Alcatraz - Terra Nova - and zooey deschanel in the new girl ! Cause i find her adorable !! :D

She is adorable. I love her cotton commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKW9na06SyY
ReplyDeleteMy reasoning exactly
ReplyDeleteDear god! I think I must be ill. I think NBC and then the CW have th best upcoming series...... ohoh.
ReplyDeleteIn theory NBC often has quite good shows. Their best comedies are still on air, but most of their dramas were cancelled or moved to other networks like Kings (still mourning...) or Southland.
ReplyDeleteKings was great. Original, well acted, well written.... and therefore doomed to fail on network TV.
ReplyDeleteCan't really say any one network wins out. ABC, CBS and Fox all have shows I'm looking forward to.
ReplyDeleteI voted for the CW. Ringer, The Secret Circle & Hart of Dixie all look amazing!! My second favorite is NBC with Awake, Smash, Grimm & The Playboy Club. This upcoming tv season has so many interesting new shows!
ReplyDeleteI'll go with The CW, mostly because of Ringer. And kinda because of The Secret Circle. HoD is a definite pass for me.
ReplyDeleteThis is a tough question to answer.

I went with ABC cos once upon a time looks promising :)
ReplyDeleteNBC and ABC have the best new shows.
ReplyDeleteAnd it seems, acording to early press screenings, Alcatraz is horrible, so...

ReplyDeleteNBC for Awake and Prime suspect
