  1. I really liked it till the end. It was very anticlimactic. They kept building it up and then instead of a bang we get a pop.

I wish last week's episode would have been the end. I like the growth shown in Eli in this episode, but last week was the better end to the season/series. Not my favorite Stargate series, but prefer it to no Stargate at all. Hopefully SyFy/MGM/Showrunners get their act together before the Stargate Franchise is lost forever.

  3. I am very upset. How can they just leave us hanging like this? Dude, there better be some good fanfiction.

  4. To be honest if Syfy wouldn't cacel it, we would have better ending.

  5. Wow... that was a crap ending. It was an interesting idea but absolutely nothing was resolved. Not the blindness, ALS, the drone problem or any big revelations about the "mission", or the two girls quarantined inside the computer. The only resolution was that Eli finally told Rush off kind of. It was such a fizzle out for me. It's like they hated us and stopped trying. I'm almost kinda glad this show is over now. It reminds me of the spoof of the younger, edgier show on the 200th episode of SG-1. And this year It started with the same montage each week even though it wasn't really necessary for the plot. "I killed Riley... I suffocated him with my own hands...." "You... are a good Captain." and that picture of the Captain drinking and crying. Why was that necessary to recount week after week. For the first time in Stargate history I feel that if I had stopped watching it last week I would be happier or perhaps the whole season I could give a miss. Listening to this cast whine about this and that and the other thing just so they could go into stasis for three years. The only way I would forgive this kind of ending is if they had secret plans to release something else, fire the writers and get back to SG roots with arcs that make sense and get resolved and interesting twists. I just haven't heard of any such plans ... in fact what I've heard is that people believe the franchise needs to be shelved for awhile... much like the Star Trek television franchise. And God the overall writing is not good. People ... Stargate is not LOST! It's like they tried to Battlestar Galactica it up and with a douchey Lost-esque ending complete with almost agonizing character study that never ended, but there were no holy s@#%! moments just crappy feelings and multiple health issues. Does anyone out there thought it might have been cool that the descendents of the crew had created the drones that are in turn hunting them now? Have that fact be discovered in a twisty Planet of the Apes Lady Lib's head on the beach type moment. I do love the actors and they way they deliver these hideous plots makes it bearable to watch, but the plot writing ... you think it's just about to get cool and they go in a direction of suck. Anything interesting they just gloss over and focus on kidney problems and ALS... It's like they wanted to be character driven with an ensemble cast like Lost and BSG but didn't have the writing guns to pull it off and have a satisfactory plot and so what they got instead was Brothers and Sisters in Space.

Hey... I'm sorry if there are people out there who really liked it but I just didn't and this ending made me realize that. I never was pumped from week to week like I was with SG-1 and SGA. Those shos had the right mix of characters, humor and sci-fi action that I had loved to watch. And I know that some of you will blame the network for cancelling it but this ending wouldn't have made a good season or series finale. They were done shooting when the show was cancelled but it changes nothing.

  6. Arghghgh that was such an irritating episode ending!! what was eli smiling about? impending death, 3 years in stasis or the fact nobody had achieved anything??? so annoying. it would have been an ok ending had it been applicable to the situation...but it wasnt!

SGU shouldnt try to be another show like bsg, bsg was good because it did something special....sgu just whinged and moped and killed off a tiny cast without hope for more people to suppliment the cast. only did they finally make it good in the last few eps with the time decendents and then they DIDNT KEEP any of them for the cast....so useless. and guinn and perry were so good, wasted.... the drones + cites were cool, they needed way more of that stuff.

almost wish they could continue, because it had been improving. however, getting from terrible to average isnt that much of an achievement.

i want the plucky, action pack, science, human based ememies of the old sg1 back...hope they make a new series eventually.

there were some good moments in this moment, but a frustrating ending. i would have like to see eli finishing by starting work on the stais pod...hope that he will suceed, rather than mindless smiling over his doom.

  7. After 17 years of Stargate SG1 SGA & SGU an end of era in my life. SGU ended in a decent way in which if it were to be ever to be given a season 3 if could carry on. Oh how i am going to miss you stargate .

  8. I couldn't say what you say any better....totally agree with you.

And I think this is the end of the Stargate franchise since most of the actors from the 3 shows said their goodbyes on twitter, and there are no plans for movies any time soon.

Too bad that with 2 great shows like SG-1 and SGA, it all ends like this...
