Not liking that Ringer is quiet, I need SMG back on my screens .....
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for Poe! I'd love to see Tabrett every week again! :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa what? I thought Alcatraz had a 12 episode order! Now it only has a 'small chance'?!
ReplyDeleteAnd Locke and Key gone too? The only two shows I was planning to watch, now both may be gone? Is this true?!
Variety ,Deadline etc. have all been pretty much saying that Alcatraz and Locke and Key are the fox drama pilots with the least chance to make it, FOX is more interested in Touch, Weekends at Bellvu and Exit Strategy and even The Finder
ReplyDeleteWell, at least now the status of Reconstruction and 17th Precinct is clear. That's too bad, I wanted to see both shows. But NBC has a lot of interesting dramas to pickup and those who a shot next season (Smash, Rem, Prime Suspect, Payboy and Wonder Woman) seem just fine as well. I hope they didn't forget about SILA.
ReplyDeleteNBC is picking up 4 awful sitcoms, 3 of which will air in the summer of 2012 and maybe one will have a 7 episodes season in April/May 2012. Yay. I still don't get why they choose to develop that many sitcoms given their 2 hour comedy block is already complete from September to May (they better not start Parks and Recreation in January again).
I want Ringer to make some noise, I don't like to see "quiet" written next to it. It seems like one of the most original pilots of the season and it has Sarah Michelle Gellar in it ! Any other network would have picked it up but it's CBS...
ABC is right to question the longevity of Revenge. Given the pitch, it should be a miniseries. Anyway it's a serialized drama thus no one will bother watching, so they might as well turn it into a miniseries.
I had forgotten that The New Girl is Zooey Deschanel. Despite her, I seem to remember the plot is rubbish (isn't about a girl living in an appartement with several boys ?). Even her presence on this show will not make me want to watch that. So I prefer the Family Almbum/Hate my Teenage Daughter ticket rather than Family Album/The New Girl.
NBC will probably start a new female centered comedy night
ReplyDeleteDamn it, all of the shows that I was most excited for aren't going anywhere. I'm glad Person of Interest and REM are gaining momentum, but Locke and Key, Alcatraz, Ringer, and 17th Precinct aren't doing well :(. No mention of Once Upon a Time either. Bah, it looks like 2011 will turn into another year of decent new procedurals. The River could be fun I guess. And although Hallelujah sounds campy, I love Jesse L. Martin and Terry O'Quinn so I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time is highly buzzed about but hasnt been screened yet screening is on Monday
ReplyDeleteTheoretically, if Alcatraz doesn't get picked up, does it have the possibility to move to another network? As its on Fox, FX seems the most logical choice, especially if Fox wants to keep the relationship between their network and J.J Abrams as good as possible. If not Fox even Syfy lately, they haven't had a smash hit since Battlestar Galactica, and as it was headlined by Ronald D Moore (who had fans before, and some of whom would have watched Battlestar simply because of his involvement) surely taking another high profile project which has fans already and comes from a very popular director, this would be something they consider? Heck, they may even do this with 17th Precint.
ReplyDeleteIs this a possibility? Or am I just wishfully thinking?
Come on "Person of Interest"!!!!!!!!!!! ::fingers crossed::
ReplyDeleteI think Fox wants Alcatraz, but there was an article/interview with J.J. Abrams from about a month or two ago...He said after the pilot was green lit, that there could be chance that he would have to put Alcatraz on the back burner, depending on if FOX renewed FRINGE...Abrams siad that Fox expressed tthat room was limited and if he had to choose, he would continue with FRINGE first....but I agree it's strange that a series was givven the go ahead and now deadline reports otherwise...
ReplyDeletei guess its possible Breakout Kings got picked up by A&E last season
ReplyDeletebut by all account the 17th precint pilot was bad in quality so i doubt that would be picked up
Alcatraz was mixed
awww, man!!! Alcatraz sounded awesome... I really wish they bring it in the fall schedule..
ReplyDelete'Rising' sounds better than nothing. Please NBC give me REM!!!
ReplyDeleteIt would be disappointing if neither Grimm, Once upon a time or 17th Precinct makes it. I think Ringer could be a little bit too difficult to produce or not interesting (remember Eliza Dushku in Dollhouse) but still having SMG back on TV would be so amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a relief!
