    I used to be a huge OTH fan, but I think it should have ended at the end of season 6.
    Season 7 was OK but season 8 was so boring... I really hope the finale season will be a lot better.

    it should have ended with season 4. i think that would have been a good send off or season 6. the show just wasn't the same after lucas and peyton left and i couldn't get into the 7th season

     it's really good of the CW to give the show some time to close all its storylines, after all even though the quality has been declining, One Tree Hill was some kind of staple in teen series.at least they'll get an actual end instead of all those networks who cut series without regard for whether the narratives are wrapped up or not.

    I love One Tree Hill, and I don't think it should have been cancelled ages ago like most people do, but I do think that it is nice to know that it will be the final season, because at least they can end it properly instead of having to have a rushed ending where it has to be left open in case it does get renewed.
    I hope that makes sense :P haha

    I'm not sure why everyone is saying they want it to end... I would love it to keep going, and I know lots of people who would watch it. Plus if your saying you want it to end and it kept going no one would force you to watch it. It would be just another show on T.v ;)

    your an ass if you don't like it no one says you have to watch it keep your negativity to yourself you obviously dont know good writing when you see it or great character development or plot lines that meant something to fans. the fact this show lasted so long is a testament to how far one can get with the power of words whether they be in dialogue, overtures, or the songs of great unkown bands and artists.

    Chad has hinted several times on Twitter recently that he'd be interested in returning if the show got a ninth season, so I think he'd be in. Hilarie is the wild card now, because she's a series regular on White Collar, so I don't know if she'd return or not.

     I couldn't agree with you more. Everyone was happy and with someone at the end of season 4 and it ended perfectly! With Nathan and Lucas...*sigh*..ah the good ole days lol

    One Tree Hill is WAYYYY past it's expiration date, in my opinion.

     I miss Leyton! :(  Lucas was the main freakin' character and they cut him! Then continued with the show, I mean WTF?!
    Season 8 was sooo boring you could fall asleep watching an episode.

    I guess it's the time to wrap this show up. It confuses me when people say that it should've ended after Lucas and Peyton left. I strongly disagree. So what if they were the main characters. One Tree Hill is too great and way too popular to be done so fast. And I happen to think they replaced the characters amazingly. I actually thought it got better. My favorite characters who used to be Haley and Nathan became Quinn and Clay. I also love Julian. It would be pretty cool to see Lucas and Peyton come back in season 9. And since that's what everyone wants that's most likely what they're gonna do to keep the audience. I think the show is perfect without them though. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

    I disagree with people saying it should have ended after season 4 or 6. I mean we would have missed Clay and Quinn (my new favourite couple, adorable and slightly wacky together) and Haley's baby and Brooke's twins (whom i can't wait to officially meet). And i actually like the whole Alex, Chase concept. Mia for some reason just got worse and worse in her acting. And seeing Milly go off the perfect rail was very interesting. And Haley's depression was a great storyline- to see someone who had always been so happy and helpful go down hill and to see her (with the help of family and friends) pick herself back up- it was brilliant!! Season 7 and 8 still had the heart that has been throughout the whole series of One Tree Hill and i can't wait for season 9 (with hopefully a guest appearance of the 3 amigos- lucas, peyton and their baby). Nine seasons and i still love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I agree!  OTH has had some amazing storylines.  Although,I have admit, season 7 took some getting used to after Lucas n Peyton left, but we got some awesome new people!  I am soo glad Brooke finally got her dream guy, and I am embarassed to say, I cried a little when we found out she actually got pregnant!  I'm glad we get another season to see her be a mom.  And although I'm very glad seasons 4, 6,and 8 were NOT the end, they had a nice finality to, so I hope the series finale has the same.  I hate when shows end, leaving us with questions.  So i am excited to see how my favorite show finally ends!

    I could not agree more. For me when Lucas and Peyton left that should have been the end of it. For so long its always been about Lucas, Peyton , and Nathan and when two of them left it really wasn't a show anymore. No offense to the other characters.

    I'm sad OTH is ending but I do agree season 8 kind of had its moments when it was stupid but that brought back a little of the old OTH in the last episodes and made me love OTH all over again. I'll always be a OTH fan! Thanks for making such a good show for my friends and I to watch for all these years!!

I think for us who enjoying watching OTH...that is up to us, we like we like it..this is why we post our thought for the producers will see how much we enjoy their hard work! without them..and there job we wouldnt have a OTH so why no post comments (POSITIVE ONES) to show them please keep the seasons coming...if it ends at season 9 fine. but hopefully not!

    the show has been amazing since it started at season 1 and if you didn't like the show so much after season 4 then why did you bother to watch it...that also kinda proves that you ain't much of "fan"  to the show.     OTH.......what a GREAT show!!! I hate to see it coming to an end. I do agree that it would be nice to see Lucas and Peyton and be caught up on what has been going on in their lives. This show is my husband and mine all time favorite. I got him watching it and now it is our favorite show....we will definately miss it!! It did take some getting use to when L & P left but we adjusted. Who knows we might all get lucky and get another season(10). There will definately be a OTH farewell party with our friends next year.

    NOOO ! Brooke is finally getting happy and things are going so well in the show. Why are they ending it there's so much more that can happen! I think the writers need to think about what they are doing because a lot of people look forward to seeing this show. It definitely is a amazing show and i think they should keep on writing new scripts

    I agree.... I have watched from day one.. it sucked when lukas left.. but i got over it... I have grown to like the new comers. and if you don't like the show than stop watching it and shut the hell up!!!!!move on.. it is an awsome show and i will suck when they end but i will always wath the repeats...
