  1. Something official on The Cape? I hear only about complete series DVD-release.

  2. Shit My Dad Says is actually CBS..

    ReplyDelete
  3.  Where the heck is 30 Rock?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Ha yes, got carried away :)

    ReplyDelete
  5. Not until midseason due to Tina Freys pregnancy

    ReplyDelete
  6. Chuck's move to Friday clears up my Monday schedule a little bit and at least now I have something to watch at 8:00 on Fridays.

    ReplyDelete
  7.  Midseason because of Tina's pregnancy.

    ReplyDelete
  8.  Well at least Chuck is on at 8 and not 9 otherwise it would be too unfair for Fringe and SPN fans

    ReplyDelete
  9. Chuck on FRIDAY? Like Fringe and SPN? Are you kidding me?

    ReplyDelete
  10.  So it looks like Chuck and Fringe on Fridays for me next Fall.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Only 13 scripted series... and nothing for mid-season?
Also, I hope "Parks and Recreation" doesn't tank with "Community" as a lead in. That would be a damn shame! Hope it gets a well-deserved full 22-episode season.

  12.  Just realised Grimm is on at 9, bad bad decision NBC your pitting it against two other well established sci fi/supernatural shows. Silly idea

    ReplyDelete
  13.  But it's an hour earlier than both shows...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh okay. But same day and time?

  15.  Are NBC making a big mid-season push this year?
From what I've heard Are You There Vodka? Is one of the better comedy pilots this year, Smash is one with the largest buzz, Awake similarly is supposed to be very high quality, as well as the very much anticipated 'The Firm', coupling this with 30 Rock (which I know is due to Fey's pregnancy, but still) and The Voice, that's what it looks like in my view? Or are the aformentioned shows just crap? Also, assuming a comedy fails, can anyone see 30 Rock being paired with another mid-season show for a full twenty two episode series?

  16.  Sweet!! Chuck & Fringe in one night!

    I might die of happiness

    ReplyDelete
  17.  So we all agree that Grimm is already dead, yes?

    ReplyDelete
  18.  Wait for FOX's and CW's schedules ;)

    ReplyDelete
  19.  Much better fitting lead-in or lead-out series for both Chuck and Harry's Law in the new schedule... Kudos.

    ReplyDelete
  20.  Certainly looks like this year's The Cape, but can't be as bad can it?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm not sure the lead in to Harry's Law makes a lot of sense, but the lead out should help a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  22. But since Smallville ended, SPN might be an hour earlier. Well, we'll see when FOX's and CW's schedules appear. I'm hoping it won't be THAT bad. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  23.  Well, in that case I was looking at the LO:SVU as more fitting than Chuck or The Cape last season. The comedy lead-in I can't be sure about until I see them I guess....

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yeah, I can see Harry's Law getting switched around, which isn't good for it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Now that I think about, I kinda feel a teensy bit for NBC at the moment - They have three pregnant actresses - Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey, and Jenna Fischer. That can't be easy to manage with three different shows! And they had this song problem last year with Love Bites, which isn't premiering until this summer. And of course, Amy Poehler and then Jane Krakowski.

  26.  I know Community doesn't have the best ratings, but the positive word of mouth about Community has been getting people more aware of it and thus more people watching it.  I personally don't watch Parks and Rec but hope it does well regardless, hell maybe people turning on their tvs early to watch Parks and Rec will see Community, get intrigued, and more people will watch it.

  27.  A David E Kelley law series getting bounced around from night to night and timeslot to timeslot.... NEVER! Ha! law series getting bounced around from night to night and timeslot to timeslot.... NEVER! Ha!

  28.  ratings or quality wise? :P

    ReplyDelete
  29.  Wow. It's just so sad when NBC needs so many new series and so few of the promos look good to me...

My prediction: We all meet back here same time next year to see the same amount of new promos..

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ha, it will be fun to see which ones crash and burns.

I'm already getting my Cancellation Table for next year.

    ReplyDelete
  31.  LOL, I think you're definitely going to be right.

    ReplyDelete
  32. It's actually such a shame, especially when you know that it will be shows like Awake are the first to go and Whitney will  be around longer than Community. when you know that it will be shows like Awake are the first to go and Whitney will  be around longer than Community.

    ReplyDelete
  33.  It's early, and truth be told, half the footage in those promos may not even make it into the series themselves after reshoots or recasts, but I see potential for maybe 2 hits and 2 or 3 more to make it past the first season. That is a bad crop of new shows! told, half the footage in those promos may not even make it into the series themselves after reshoots or recasts, but I see potential for maybe 2 hits and 2 or 3 more to make it past the first season. 34. Friday is interesting for a choice maybe even if it's the final season the ratings could go up as well.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Means Law and Order SVU got renewed? Meloni really signed the contract for next season? Any news on it?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nothing yet official although I'm pretty certain it will be back

    ReplyDelete
  37.  No, you're assuming right, NBC is surely making a big push for the midseason. In top of what you mentioned they will have the superbowl that of course is going to help them a lot.
I can see 30 Rock taking the place of one of the two comedies on wed in case they (or it) flop.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yes, putting a freshman in Friday is just wrong. Only Dollhouse recently has survived as a freshman in that day, and it was a once in a lifetime thing so...

    ReplyDelete
  39.  Is the Chelsea Handler show being a mid-season show? That show is the funniest out of the bunch.

    ReplyDelete
  40. 1 - It really, really pisses me off that 30 Rock is only coming back in January 2012.

They could have used Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Liz Lemon (like in the 'live show' episode) for the first 6-7 episodes of the 6th season if Tina Fey was busy doing something unimportant like giving birth. I'm still in the middle of the 4th season of It's Always Sunny in
Philadelphia but I've heard that Kaitlin Olson was replaced by an
ostrich for a few episodes because she was pregnant too.

I would have love a replacement like that on 30 Rock (except Julia Louis-Dreyfuss is more attractive than an ostrich), that replacement by Julia would have been funny. And when Tina would come back, there would be an epic battle to see which one would continue to be Liz Lemon, the rest of the characters liking Julia more than Tina, Julia being the evil twin who want to steal her sister's life, etc... 30 Rock isn't that 'meta' but I would have liked that — Community, for instance, could pull off something like that, a cast member fighting to get his job back from another actor, they would be breaking the 4th wall big time.

Or they could have said Liz suddently got fat. They try not to sexualize her, so make her seem uglier could have worked too. Simplier, but effective as well. That option and the Julia Louis-Dreyfus thing are two options they could've taken to start the season in September. And having Julia Louis-Dreyfus back as Liz would have been awesome. Anyone else agrees ?

2 - The NBC president said the 5th and final season of Chuck will only have 13 episodes and then that's it, "unless suddenly we have 10 million viewers watching it on Friday night, then it would" have an extra 9 episode order (and Chuck would have a 100 episodes). Grennblatt doesn't seem to have much faith (that's understandable, but I would have liked a full season of Chuck to say goodbye).

3 - I love, I absolutely love Community (if you watch this show you cannot not like it anyway) but I'm sad Parks and Recreation lost its The Office lead-in and got back at 8:30pm, like in season 2. That is a great combo this show is doing with The Office this season, it is working great ratings-wise, and now NBC will be using the 9:30pm timeslot for a new crappy sitcom that will be cancelled by November ? Hell no !

4 - Looks like next season won't be the one I'll start watching NBC on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

5 - I like what they're doing with The Firm : a full season of a 22 episodes thriller airing from January to May, no breaks, a new episode every week. It reminds me of 24. And there's a great lead-in (ratings-wise only), The Apprentice. This show might not fail.

6 - The Sing-Off/Playboy and The Voice/Smash are great combos. I hope it will work as great for these two shows as it works out for Castle after Dancing with the Stars. NBC is right to inspire themselves from ABC (hit real TV show, then matching drama). Hey, that's the same thing with The Apprentice and The Firm (real TV show, then a new drama).

NBC new dramas may survive (unlike this season, except Harry's Law) given this programming. It's sad to have to rely on real TV for people to watch dramas though.

  41.  Are you serious? The Chandler Handler show is one of the worst ones out of them all.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Already a classic joke for me!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Looks like Thurday will be my NBC night with Community, P-Rex and Prime Suspect. Don't care about the rest to be honest.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Got burned with The Event.  I'm not going to bother watching any of NBCs shows knowing that they're probably going to be cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  45.  Where's Awake? Is it midseason??

    ReplyDelete
  46. Watch that Monday night at 10 spot. Any show on any network, despite competition, has kept alive new and old shows alike.

    ReplyDelete
  47. One of five FOX midseason shows... yep.

    ReplyDelete
  48. 1. Julia Louis-Dreyfus has a new show on HBO and is therefore busy. And
replacing the MAIN ACTRESS is not just a little cool thing you can do
(it could work with a secondary character perhaps) but not with the
    main one.

    2. If you have any logical sense, you should thank whatever entity you're believing in and be happy with the 13 eps.

    3. I agree that Whitney looks horrible and doesn't deserve the post
Office slot but you need to put a new show here in order to have a hit.
