This also means that CSI NY will be cancelled :c Because on your prediction table, $#!t my dad says was looking safe. I'm sad about the defenders, I liked that show
Reaper only got a 13 ep 2nd season. (But I think the CW knew they were canceling it before the season even started, as it didn't start till March of the 08-09 tv season) Sons of Tuscon cancelled after 4 episodes. (rest of the episodes burned off later in july/august) and now Mad Love.
CW,Fox,CBS. Now all he has to do is get on a show for NBC and have that cancelled and he will complete the Network Cancellation Grand Slam
Well, the cancellation of Mad Love was predictible. Speaking of predictible, I wanted to like it but this show is just too damn unoriginal. I'm still watching it, I've seen the 12 episodes but that's just because I love the cast : Judy Greer, Sarah Chalke, Jason Biggs, Tyler Labine, they're all truly great and they're the only reason I watched Mad Love in the first place.
Because come on, the pitch was like déjà vu a 100 times. No originality, just a harmless HIMYM-like show. Not awful, but definitely expendable. These 4 actors deserve something smarter to work with, something with a better writing.
Tomorrow night's episode is called "after the fireworks" as a reference to the pilot's title ("fireworks"). Maybe we'll have some closure... now I'm thinking hard about what could have closure on this show, there's nothing hanging in the balance... except Larry and Connie who are meant to be together.
So I hope Larry and Connie kiss, or have sex, or even both, and that there's no cliffhanger in which Ben and Kate's relationship would be in danger, and then I'll be happy.
Mad Love was nothing new, but had its fun moments plus a good cast. It's not that I'll really miss it a lot, but there are worse shows out there and would have liked to see it come back.
I am DONE with their mid-season shows. They never stand a chance, despite the content of the show, and they make sure of this. Airing a pilot in February only to last 4 months instead of the usual 9 months/22 episodes is dumb. It's a mid-season death slot and it has claimed good shows in the past such as The Class and Worst Week. Only Rules of Engagement was able to survive that. Monday night is going to continue to be a failure if they keep airing a new show each year that is destined to fail from the start. I liked Mad Love. I don't care what they newly air from now on. I wont watch it because I KNOW it will be cancelled after I get interested in the show. Get rid of that Mike and Molly crap instead. It's not funny at all. Fat jokes - how original. Conveniently it's at 9:30 so I can just shut the TV off after 2.5 Men. :) it's at 9:30 so I can just shut the TV off after 2.5 Men. :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo, Mad Love.

Poor Tyler Labine - He's lost Invasion, that Sons of Tuscon Show, Reaper, and now Mad Love. He's the new Alex O'Loughlin.

ReplyDeleteDespite having Jerry O'Connell on the show, it was great seeing James Belushi on tv again (loved him in According to Jim).
