  5. The string of words that just came out of my mouth can't be repeated on this website without an immediate ban.

Fox, why must you always earn your way back to the top of my hate list? You do it every year.

  6. Crappy move Fox

Anything else I have to say won't be very nice so lets just keep it at that

  7. Wow! Everyone I work with watches Lie to Me, so should be an interesting day at work tomorrow. Human Target is a great show and I watched it when I could, too bad. Fox really?

  8. Wow. Fox is REALLY cleaning house.

Are their pilots really that good? I wasn't remotely impressed by their backdoor pilot for The Finder, and I don't really see any buzz projects for them in the offing. House is done next year.... I just don't get it.

  9. The excuse to have only 13th episode in season 3 just because the last 2 seasons was so close... Com on did they think we were really stupid ??!! That made me angry but i knew that will be happen!

  10. Keep in mind The X-Factor will be taking up two hours on Fox's schedule and Terra Nova is another hour, so there was very little space on their lineup. They had to make some cuts and unfortunately that meant dropping a bunch of "bubble shows" like this one.

  11. The only thing that FOX has done right over the past 3 years is renewing "Fringe" for 4th Season. I will miss Tim Roth's great performance and this original series...

  12. But why? Didn't it have high ratings?

  13. You can see where it ranked in the Cancellation table

  14. The writing was on the wall, though. And season 3 Cal had become increasingly erratic/annoying, as if the writers weren't sure which direction they were going. It used to be a great show (with the psychological insight, etc), but with its 13 episode season you could tell that either it did really, really well, or it'd get cancelled.
However I wasn't impressed by the Finder pilot and am wondering what they have in store.
What are the 3 other shows they cancelled?

  15. I'm starting a campaign to not buy anything from commercials that air on fox until lie to me is brought back.

  20. I watched every episode of LTM. And funny thing is that I really don`t know why :-D. It was kinda like darker Mentalist...at least for me. But I missed something like Red John. Something that connects those episodes other than just the characters.

I love more serialized shows. And I think LTM really missed some story line (other than just Lightman and Gilian "together eventually" - that`s almost in every show).

I am extremely disappointed! This show was finally a show worth watching. Good acting, compelling stories, contemporary thinking.  I guess I should not be surprised FOX does not appreciate these qualities. I am actually not going to watch any more of their line up. I have been a loyal fan of HOUSE and I have officially erased the setting from the DVR. Shows this good should be given an opportunity to fight for their spot. I turned my parents on to it weeks ago, putting season one on their iPad, and they are hooked and caught up. Sad and disappointing!

  27. Well, I can finally cancel my cable television service and save 150.00/mo.  Have fun brainwashing your brain-dead American Idol viewers.

  29. On of the best shows on TV, cancelled because of low ratings, Bugger.

Not much else to say, loved it, and now it's gone.

    Such a waste of potential.

  30. I really Hate Fox Right Now. I really do. How can they cancel this show. It was effing amazing. I really hate grrr I can't even.

  31. Sorry, english is not my native language...I just wanted to say I think you;re wright. There were some terrible problems with some scripts in what regards the plausibility(ex. Clara character), others were just weak. The other thing was that, as they were running out of new lie indicators, the show became a little...well, ordinary. Another aspect- Cal issue- too much going on there, too much walking in the Putin style, his own bodylanguage became artificial. The antihero was a dangerous, risky move making him unsymphatetic. Maybe people just didn;t have the patience too see it evolve...the portrait of a bully. I think that;s where they lost most of the points. In some parts, the relationship between characters was also fake. Too many women storys kind of bored me. I do think that the concept was brilliant though and that the show should not have been cancelled, but improved. I think the :people above: should do that.

  33. How devasting the news was.  So much my favourite programme, love it so much, stop everything to watch it.  Will miss you Cal Lightman. x

  34. why are they killing the best series ever, there is a word I'm thinking but it would be rude

    ReplyDelete
  35. There are so few 'different' tv programs that are decent - so why do they insist on cancelling excellent shows like ';Lie to Me' and 'Life'.  Two of the best programs from the other side!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's gotta be a tax thing, as in trying to lose money on one wing of the company - FOX TV - to offset gains in other divisions of the company.  That can be the only reason for cancelling such a quality production as Lie to Me because otherwise no one could be that stupid!

Maybe we'll get lucky and another network will pick it up!

  37. Here in India, Lie To Me enjoys HUGE following! This is one of few shows eagerly awaited every year, alongside Burn Notice, Castle, White Collar and Dexter. STUPID decision to cancel it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. They keep Glee...but get rid of Lie to Me...what the freeking heck: oh yah, Glee involves no cerebral thought process : it is cotton candy for the mind...I get it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. The only thing worse than Fox's choices for shows to keep and kill, is their news teams and the jaded one sided crap they put out.... who knows: maybe the Tea Party didn't like these shows...they run everything else?

    ReplyDelete
  40. They canceled lie to me so they can prevent the people to see the truth about the current people on top. :3
