BREAKING: Entertainment Weekly broke the news just now that Human Target has been cancelled. Unfortunately, thanks to my Human Target Fan Club position, I can verify that cancellation personally.
Target, which starred Mark Valley, Chi McBride and Jackie Earle Haley, had long been considered unsure to return, despite a massive revamp between its first and second seasons. Despite changing showrunners and adding two new cast members (Indira Varma and Janet Montgomery), its numbers still struggled and it was roundly named as one of three shows that could be axed by the network, after narrowly escaping cancellation last year.
FOX's official upfront announcement is Monday, May 16.

ReplyDeleteI didn't like Human Target at all after the first season, but the 2nd season showed a real improvment and potential to keep being a truly great entertainment for at least another season. Well, at least episode 2.13 can work as a series finale, but I wanted more. All those grezat dramas cancelled for the stupid X Factor, makes me sick.
Of course forget what the viewers want - and instead why not add another stupid reality show...who is the idoits that make these decision?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI loved this show, especially guerrero, I am so upset it is being cancelled. It was a great show I will miss it very much, I was looking foward to the new season. It was not another cookie cutter shows and had imagination.
ReplyDeleteARRRRGH! Why are they cancelling all the shows I watch! V, No Ordinary, Cape, now Human Target! Why don't the networks stick with shows anymore. Of course they arent going to get viewers if they cancel them after one season!
ReplyDeleteI am very disappointed in the Fox Network today. Human Target was original, fast paced and above all else, fun. I don't know how you can keep all the reality tv running (especially when it's so incredibly staged that it's insulting to the viewer) and yet cancel good entertainment.

I TOTALLY AGREE, WHO ARE THE IDIOTS? THEY CONTINUE TO CANCEL GOOD SHOWS (FORGET WHAT THE VIEWERS LIKE) TO ADD STUPID SHOWS. SO SICK OF IT!!!!!!! JUST LIKE THEY DID WITH MOONLIGHT AND OTHERS. ALL THESE TV STATIONS KEEP DOING THE SAME THING.

ReplyDeleteYet another great show cancelled by the moguls of the tv companies. All they worry about are the ratings which unfortunately are made up of mainly mindless morons who prefer to watch reality shows which require no inteligence to watch!
I really hate that Human Target was cancelled. It was one of the best shows that Fox had. I will really miss watching.

I think I'll write to NBC, CBS and ABC and see if they might be interested in picking Human Target up and dropping one the many reality (bites) shows that they carry. Human Target actually was an intelligent show so of course the bone heads would cancel it.??? NO MORE FOX for me.
ReplyDeleteYou can't get a large number of viewers when the timeslot is changed and not advertised...I can't watch a show I can't find! I'm sure it is cheaper to produce so called reality shows, but that doesn't mean they should take the place of true entertainment. This was a good show, and deserved a chance to be seen in a permanent slot. Shame on you Fox!

I live in Iceland and Human target was one of the few shows I liked to watch. After reading what others say then I think the managers at fox don´t know good show when they see one. How stupid are all those reality show they all look the same. I have maby seen two ep. of couple of them and I basicly fell a sleep.
ReplyDeletethis show mixed action and comedy and everything in one. it was unlike any others really. but i have found a show that reminds me of it a lot called leverage. its NOT quite as good but its close.
