Oh my gooooooodness!!! I'm not the only one wishing that too?! Ahaha, I sooo wish it was Wilson finding him as well -- *sigh* Guess I'll only have fanfic to rely on ... again....
I'm good with either. We've had Wilson find House nearly dead a few times now. It's Cuddy's turn. Plus, judging by the promo pics, we'll get some good Wilson/House moments later.
No really ? How can they hope we'll beleive a witty doctor like House can become a labrat without thinking first about consequences ? There's a difference between being a jerk and being stupid. But maybe it was the only way to get him a cancer after Lisa had one. Next one should be James then. The last ratings were brrrrrrrrrrrr.. really down although I think the end of this season will be interesting. I seems that when Greg is in jeopardy viewers are more interested....
Apparently you haven't seen the show. He's not a typical witty doctor. That would be boring. You seem to have missed that he's nuts and regularly self-inflicts pain or risks his life, and sometimes even the lives of his patients, to either prove something or avoid something he's afraid of. Taking an experimental drug and attempting to cut out his own leg tumors is definitely extreme, but perfectly inline with his character. When you think about it, the last time he had leg surgery, it was against his wishes. Knowing him, he will not be easily willing to let anyone else have a say over what happens to his leg. By the way, viewers are always more interested in any show when a main character is in jeopardy. And, uh, Cuddy didn't have cancer.
How can you say I havent' seen the show ? I've never missed one episode. Maybe we didn't watch the same. This said, I can have my own thoughts about the characters. He's witty because he rarely fails in solving a case. He proves that again with the boxer's case. He's always doubtful about what's not scientificaly prooved (religion, karma...), and in this episode, I saw him beleiving in an experimental study about the compound CS 804 (hard to know the name if I hadn't seen the show). That's what made me write : "There's a difference between being a jerk and being stupid" Your explanations are good to me. Maybe I'm just tired to watch a 51 man acting so stupidely sometimes. Maybe my scientific background makes me think a witty person can't get fooled so easily. You're rignt, I shouldn't consider benign tumor as cancer. I had one (not a benign tumor). Don't take all this personaly, I'm disappointed by the writting of this drug storyline, but will watch this season (and the eighth) until the end. :-)
My "you haven't seen the show" was not a literal statement. It's a sort of sarcastic statement used to set up my point. You can have your own thoughts and I can disagree with them. He doesn't believe things that have no evidence and no scientific basis (religion, karma), but on several occasions he has used experimental medications and procedures that have only initially shown promise. There's a difference between acting stupidly/getting fooled and being self-destructive, crazy, and taking huge risks to avoid something you fear. House knows it's dangerous, he just doesn't care because of the above reasons. Being able to solve medical cases does not require you to be mentally sound. In fact, many real life geniuses are a little out there. You're welcome to be tired of watching it, but you can't say it's unbelievable for the character of House. Now if it was Wilson, yes, you'd have a point. You can't judge a crazy character for something a sane character wouldn't do. I'm not taking anything personally, just having a discussion.
"You're welcome to be tired of watching it, but you can't say it's unbelievable for the character of House."
Just saying "I'm tired of watching it" is a short resume. Sorry, but I can say what I want, and always will, don't blame me if don't to obey. House isn't the kind of guy who believes in MIRACLES that's all I wanted to say. Maybe it's more clear that way, if not I let it that way. Plus he makes injections in his left arm to cure his right leg. Imagine all the organs that could be damaged by the compound. Plus I think the cure should be injected directly in his leg. Plus the actual researches are based on cells, not liquid. So I leave you with my certainties. Thanks for ansewring.
Let me rephrase my comment. You can't claim it's unbelievable for the character of House without ignoring the numerous other episodes showing House doing similar activities. In other words, you have no evidence to support your statement. Therefore your statement is meaningless. What's funny is you said you're tired of it, and at the same time that it's not like him. How can you be tired of seeing him behave a certain way if it's not like him to behave that way? A drug that had promising initial results on rats in a scientific study has no resemblance to a miracle. Since they just made up the drug, it's rather silly to argue it wouldn't work the way it was used. Perhaps it only works on damaged muscle tissue, that's why he could inject it in his arm. And I have no idea what "Plus the actual researches are based on cells, not liquid." means.
Ok. I'm scared. House has lost it. He needs help. Major help. *paging Nolan* And now I'm scared of what potentional tumors will mean. I do not want to see House die from it. Please, he's suffered so many years. He can't end like that. It'd be too depressing.
The guy has never been the most rational when it comes to his leg. He's the one who downs enough vicodin to burn away his throat lining and put him in a rubber room on a daily basis. And this entire season has been about him trying to solve his problems the only way he knows how: medically, by fixing a physical condition. He's desperate, he thinks it'll work, and desperate people do stupid things.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
OMG, at the end ("Someone better be dying") House is gonna be like "I am..."
ReplyDeleteSave him Cuddy!
I wish Wilson would be the one to find him. We already tried Huddy, and it was an epic fail. Well, at least he's there in House's hospital room.
ReplyDeleteHouse is not gay.
ReplyDeleteJesus, what is he gonna doooooo?!
ReplyDeleteNo please not Wilson yet AGAIN!!!! I want it to be Cuddy, I miss their interactions.

you don't think they're going to kill him off to end the show? When they made this they didnt know if they were going to get renewed.

ReplyDeleteWe agree about about the stupidity. I just can't believe it.
ReplyDeleteAh Ah ! Hugh had signed for season 8. So it wasn't to use him like an ectoplasm during all that new season.... :-)
