The thing is, Chuck IS the best male character on this show. He's the one who have a decent storyline. I guess Eric's storyline was better than Nate's and Dan's.
And Ed Westwick nailed it! He is the best male actor (although i like Penn, buuut... Penn is not so good in the drama) so the writters pick Chuck to have all the emotional storyline and dramatic moments, because they know Ed Westwick can do it brillant.
And let's be honest, he was brillant last night. He and Leighton are the best on Gossip Girl.
agreed! he and Blair are the only characters that have all sides, very well rounded. the rest of the characters are very flat! Ed is brilliant he was making me cringe last night but in a good way! cant wait for the Chuck/ Blair reconciliation! everyone knows it is coming! :)
This show could use some new and interesting characters... Nate is nothing more than a recurring extra lately, Vanessa is really starting to annoy me to the point that I want to skip the parts with her in it.. and the Chuck/Blair + Dan/Serena thing is getting old...
What are they doing to Chuck? I miss season 1-3 Chuck. Dark Chuck is inevitable progression, because of his character and nature due to his upbringing ...However if there is no great pay off for Chuck going so out of control of Blair, then I don't know what the writers are thinking. If he doesn't get Blair, what is the point of going this far? Unless for once they are trying to go "realistic" storytelling for once. I bet Jack makes the prince leave, so at the very least Chuck doesn't have to worry about losing her to marriage of another guy.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
What is Nate doing? OMG!! OMG!! I really, really hope that Chuck redeems himself in the next episode!!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! Poor Chuck!!! Stupid Blair!!! Idiot Nate!!! Sad Luis!!!

ReplyDeleteI hate how Nate is always the charcater with no personality AT ALL who ends up serving the writers needs in pretty much any situation.
ReplyDeleteChuck attempted to sexually assault Jenny in the very first episode. This isn't a progression, it's a repeat performance.
ReplyDeleteI Chuck punching Jack?
