Nice insight into the political landscape and the repercussions of imp-napping Tyrion.
Love the line "Littlefinger is dangerously charming, but mostly dangerously dangerous"!
I always enjoyed hating Jaime Lannister in the books, but I seriously enjoy LIKING him in the series! Nikolaj Coster-Waldau brings such a charm and likability to the role that is not so apparent on the page.
That feeling if the exact feeling I miss with Cersei. They are twins and alike in many ways.. To me I read Cersei more like the Jaime of the TV series. Charming, dangerous and always looking for a chance to prove she is the better "man" with her wits, not a sword like her lover... I mean twin brother.
Because the passing time isn't that well conveyed in the series like in the books, I'm wondering how long it took for Jaime to get the message, that Tyrion didn't arrive in King's Landing on time.
I'm reading the book as the series progresses, so my feelings about Jaime is in some way like Ben Linus in Season 4, meaning a shady character I like to hate and sometimes understanding his motivations a bit. And since the series shows scenes outside of the chapters in the book, we get a more objective view, since we don't see characters like Jaime or Cersei from the POV of the main characters.
Like you, I also don't feel sympathy in the same way for Cersei like for her brother. Although her scene with Robert was moving in the last episode and it really might have been, that at the beginning of their marriage they both might have felt something for each other, although in the end it was "fated" to go down the drain.
Figure Catelyn took a couple days or a week to get to the Inn and at that point someone could have sent a raven to King's Landing or Casterly Rock (Lannister's catle), plus The Eyrie is much closer to King's Landing than Winterfell. I would guess a week or two, but who knows.. if she laid a false trail and traveled farther North before going east... could be two weeks or more I guess.
Enjoy the books! I think they will add to your enjoyment of the series.... It would be interesting to know what you feel after catching up to th point we are at in the series!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

I really don't know how long it was... exactly.

I don't know what to think about Cersei, she hasn't been causing any kind of feelings in me yet. As for Jaime, I hate this guy, a lot...
