Game of Thrones - Casting already underway for Season 2

The new 2011 HBO medieval fantasy television series "Game of Thrones" has become an instant mega hit show.

The series debuted in the Unites States on Sunday evening, April 17, 2011 and was picked up for a second season on April 19, 2011.

Auditions information for actors is now available. In addition, many extras, stand-ins and photo doubles for the series stars are being hired throughout production.

SEEKING:

MALES & FEMALES (all ages; any ethnicity) - ACTORS & EXTRAS. Males and females, any age, must have fair skin or Mediterranean look, men must be willing to grow a beard or stubble.

Experienced equestrians are also needed.

    Game of thrones will be like True Blood that way... every season they will cast 3-5 new major roles and dozens of minor roles. I read somewhere there are something like 75 or so notable roles in the the first four books alone and well over 300 defined characters.

    Yep. She turns up towards the end of book 2 I think, but she is MAJOR in book 3 of course. Important although not all major roles to Cast.
    Stannis Baratheon,
    Melisandre,
    Davos Seaworth ,
    Edmure Tully,
    Asha,
    Brienne turns up in book two I think also...
    Would Strong Belwas be major (other than in size I mean)?

    So many people as we move across the realms. I don't envy that casting director!
