Color me unimpressed! That photo is from my least favorite of the promo shoots this season I think. In the end the cover doesn't matter though since the content on the inside is some of the best on TV right now.
Yeah I'm missing some alternates on there.. Still love fringe and gonna buy it anyway but also a bit underwhelmed unfortunately. There are way better official shots and manipulated promo pics out there!
*colors all over darq* Ok, is that good? :P I knew the moment the pictures surfaced which ones would be the cover of the DVD case. I just remember thinking "Yeah, I already see the Fringe logo at the top..."
I figured those were the covers too honestly. They have they same vibe as the Season Two covers. That does not mean I think that photo is the best group shot promo of the season however. O well, like I said..... it's the content inside that makes me buy DVDs anyway1
I actually really like it. Sometimes covers can be really bad, but Fringe has such a polish to their promotion, and while the pics are a tad on the boring side compared to others, it would provide a clean, easy to notice look for the casing.
Well, I'm waiting to get my copy from Barnes and Noble... The last time I bought a dvd set from Amazon, I ddn't receive it and I didn't get my money back...
@darthlocke:disqus Here's my version of the photo you mentioned. It would have made a great official cover and will make a nice cover my DVD collection ....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
AWESOME.

ReplyDeleteHow do we know this is the cover art? It doesn't even say "Fringe" or "Season 3". Me think this is only a picture, not the real cover.
ReplyDeletePlus there's this: http://www.happynanalucky.com/fringe-season-3-dvd-boxset-p-465.html

@Jeffjo:disqus Nothing is definate for items on Amazon until it moves out of Pre-order stage. We'll update this post if we hear any more news
ReplyDeleteI wish they would have used the circular--sky light one...but oh well, like you said it's whats on the inside that counts!

ReplyDeleteWow that sucks! Sorry to hear.
ReplyDeleteI have had a couple things I ordered not make it to me, but they always sent me a new one when I filed one of their claims forms.
