An Evening with Fringe

Thursday, May 19, 2011
7:00 pm PT
Los Angeles

IN PERSON
Anna Torv, “Olivia Dunham”
John Noble, “Dr. Walter Bishop”
Additional panelists to be announced.

Fox’s Fringe, recently renewed for a fourth season, just gets better with age. After starting out as an X-Files-derivative series about an FBI division specifically charged with investigating paranormal mysteries, Fringe (created by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci) has evolved into a uniquely sublime blend of mind-bending story lines (parallel universes, doppelgangers, a guru who operates out of a bowling alley, etc.); inventive, ambitious artistry (including, most recently, the integration of chunks of animation into an episode—fitting for a series so decisively influenced by comic books); and powerful character drama that, as the A.V. Club has pointed out, infuses the series with “unexpected soulfulness.” The cast, led by Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, and John Noble, is masterful; join them for the premiere screening of an episode, followed by a Q&A.

  2. Josh is making a movie so that's probably why he isn't there. But yeah, would like to see them do press together.

  3. but they only show up together on Comic-Con, never more

    ReplyDelete
  4. they did multiple interviews together last november- all on youtube

  5. Josh only goes to Comic-Con anyway, doesn't he? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I only remember him going to that one.

  6. The premiere screening of what episode? I'm confused, what does that mean? This Friday marks the season finale, what else is there to show?

  7. No the entire cast goes every year to the San Diego Comic Con

  8. for a while i've had the feeling that they aren't too fond of each other. you can tell how josh loves john, john loves jasika, but between anna and josh there's never any camaraderie, joking around, nice words about each other, nothing. they seem to avoid talking about each other at all. just a feeling, of course, who knows.

  9. That's exactly my impression too...And it's not the first time I say that. i feel like Josh gets a little above himself with Anna... I don't feel the same with Anna, don't know.

I wonder what episode it's going to be

  11. The impression I have from the photos behind the scenes is that Josh gets on well with everyone and Anna prefers to be on her own. Lance has spoken wonders about Josh and John. I have seen quite a few pictures with Jasika and Josh having a great time and the last reports from set said that Josh and Anna were relaxing, talking and laughing between takes.

The bad blood seems to come from some fans, not from the actors. Sometimes I wonder if fans want the actors to act between takes, too. Maybe that would keep them from inventing stuff and talking trash about some actors.

  12. That and the chemistry between Josh and Anna on screen is so good that I doubt they could pull that off if they didn't like each other. That's something that's incredibly hard to fake if it even can be faked.

  13. Hey we're just talking...I'm not a teen, i know real life it's something else. I don't pretend they're friends even out of scenes. But a little bit of chemistry it's always a pleasure. I got used to Wentworth Miller and Sarah Wayne Callies from Prison Break and they were a blast together so I miss that complicity, which was visible even during the scenes. Please don't always fear people are unjust with Josh. We're just talking and exchanging points of views.

    ReplyDelete
  14. But you were unjust towards Josh. You said you feel like Josh feels above Anna. Did he said anything bad towards her? No. So please stop with this nonsense.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I agree with Alex, Stop with this nonsense. Josh is an awesome and talented actor, and he loves all the cast members! and he and anna do have chemistry, u can see from their interviews together on youtube!

  16. He grew up respecting women. all his co-stars on DC love him. Michelle, Katie and Busy were close to him. So, it's false to say he's doing anything to Anna. From what I gather, Anna is a loner. At least that's what I hear from the crew.

  17. I know, i agree with what u said in that comment because it's what i wanted to say :) Josh is amazing and like u said all of his cast members love him and he loves them, and Plus he just starting shooting a movie right now, so he's busy

  18. I didn't meant to be. And that was my impression, not an objective statement.I respect the actor, his work, his politeness. Often people have bad opinions towards other people I care and I don't say anything because I tend to be silent. it's two time I say something and it turns out to be a trial. You're right anyway, he didn't say anything bad towards her. But I never, never implied anything like that! And maybe i was too elementary in my statement. Sorry! Anyway I'll stop right here on this matter.

  19. wow, i'm very sorry, i really didn't intend my comment to offend anyone, it was just an observation!!! i couldn't care less what happens bts because fringe is an amazing show and that's all that matters, so please don't take it too seriously!!!

  20. "fringe is an amazing show and that's all that matters".
    Right.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Don't worry Chiara I couldnt see anything mean spirited in what you said. It was just an opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Even if Anna is a (loner) she always pleasant and approachable according to absolutely everyone (from paps to autograph hounds to guest stars to reporters). They're both spoken of highly, even if not of each other.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Maybe it's an un-aired episode like Unearthed.
Maybe it's the extended Season Finale, I know they shot 80 minutes worth.
Maybe it's the Season Premiere or parts of it.
    Just guesses.

Anyway, Fringe is an awesome show and the cast has great chemistry, just find all the interviews on YouTube and you can see it.
    Fringe rules!
Tune in on Friday and watch live if you can.

  24. I think there is hidden mutual chemistry between them, that´s the reason why they avoid to each other

    ReplyDelete
  25. I honestly think they'd better avoid each other , because people talk mercilessly and many previous co-stars had their lifes destroyed because of what fans claim, useless rumours and videos on youtube just to prove that they should be together.

    ReplyDelete
  26. man, why everything has to happen in LA =.=

    ReplyDelete
  27. To me, Josh is a goofy guy that likes to joke around having fun between takes. Anna is more of a serious girl that prefers to be on her own, like go to work then go home, that kinda of girl you know. They seem to get along fine and produce great on-screen chemistry, eventhough I really wanna see more between them :(

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh how i wish i could attend!!! My fav talented people are there!! And i wonder what "screening of an episode" means as wel!! Maybe the complete finale? But if it is, why not live stream it, i bet lots of fans would enjoy that!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. i know, they could do these interviews around the world, right??? XD

    ReplyDelete
  30. Whoa, 80 minutes worth? Where did you hear that?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I read it somewhere. I think it was one of the actors who said it. They had shot 80 minutes worth it. Then they had it down to 60 minutes but the episode is only 43 minutes and then they said that they have at least deleted scenes for the DVD
    or something like it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. yup I heard the same thing :|
