Yesterday we began our competition to find out just who will SpoilerTV users declare their Favourite TV Romance. We began with 32 couples that you all nominated for the final competition, and yesterday saw two LOST couples make their way into Round Two, Jack & Kate as well as Desmond & Penny seeing off tough competition from Friends' Ross & Rachel as well as Seth & Summer from The OC.
Todays polls sees Seeley & Bones taking on Buffy and Spike in a poll sure to raise a few debates, as well as Stefan & Elena of The Vampire Diaries taking on Sawyer & Kate in our third LOST couple to start the competition.

Out of the shows today, I only watched LOST, so I chose to just vote for Sawyer & Kate today. They were a good couple, not as good as Jack & Kate for me, but I also found Sawyer & Kate better than Sawyer & Juliet :P

Thousands of shows try to replicate everything they had from the whole frenemies thing to the actual romance and etc and fail.

ReplyDeleteKate treated Sawyer like crud, that relationship died a thousand deaths compared to how much Juliet added to the real man James was. LOVED Lucy and Sawyer!

ReplyDeleteSpike/Buffy get my vote!! I see why they're losing, Booth/Brennan have the advantage that they're happening now, but Spuffy is a CLASSIC!
ReplyDeleteI also voted Sawyer/Kate, mostly because I don't like Elena/Stefan. But also cause even if I prefer Jack/Kate, Sawyer/Kate was still pretty sweet while it lasted.
I also think it's funny how one half of the couple against Spike/Buffy is ANGEL! Like, even post-show he's fighting against the two of them being together. ;)

ReplyDeleteOh I totally agree! Nothing I have ever seen on TV before or since has matched the chemistry these 2 had. I love Booth and Brennan, but they don't compare to Spuffy.

ReplyDeleteAnd seriously, Spuffy was and will always be one of the best and most realistic and interesting relationship pairings in the history of fiction(not to mention the only pairing I would ever ship).
ReplyDeleteIt was not your usual romance. it was wild and bumpy ride. They hurt each other, they helped each other, they saved each other, they understood each other and so on. But there was a true genuine feel behind them, be it when they were enemies, or when they became more involved. Buffy was the only one to see Spike for a man he was and Spike was the only one to truly understand Buffy and what goes on in her head and heart.

So even though my fave relationship from lost was Sawyer and Juliet, I still always liked Sawyer and Kate (mainly because when she was with Sawyer, she wasn't with jack)

ReplyDeleteSpike and Buffy were the first TV pairing I ever got hooked on, followed closely by Sawyer and Kate. I never felt chemistry between Buff and Angel- he was way too dry for me. And, the chemistry with Sawyer and Kate was so powerful, I was blown away when they continued the whole nasty triangle on LOST. (In retrospect, Josh could create chemistry with anyone, just look at all his scenes opposite Locke, Jack and Juliet.) He's just magically delicious, so obviously I'm voting for ANY couple with JH in it. I guess you could say I like my bad boys. I don't think either of these 2 ships get the credit they deserve for creating insane sparks and passion. Go Bike and Skate!

ReplyDeleteAt first I was going to vote for Buffy/Spike, but I've always felt that Buffy didn't deserve Spike, so I went with Bones and Booth. They certainly have chemistry! (Too bad Buffy/Angel wasn't competing against Bones/Booth...that would have been interesting.)
ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite couple on TV continues to be Buffy and Spike - this couple reflected great high drama and a serious exploration of all phases of life, people and all phases of a complex relationship. This relationship was so much multi-layered, it has little to do with what is usually put forth in TV Romance couples.

ReplyDeleteSawyer and Kate won by one vote? You gotta be kidding. That's the closest race I've ever seen. I don't think they're my favorite couple (It's probably Desmond and Penny) but I voted for them. I always thought they were the couple on LOST that displayed the most passion.
