Favourite TV Romance Competition - Peter & Olivia (Fringe) vs. Nate & Serena (Gossip Girl) & House & Cuddy (House) vs. Monica & Chandler (Friends)

Hey Guys,

Talk about tense times! At 15:00 GMT when the polls were supposed to close our second poll between Stefan/Elena and Sawyer/Kate was tied, so I sat refreshing my polldaddy account dashboard for the next vote to come in and to close the poll, which happened at 15:00 and 47 seconds for people interested :P
It made for a fascinating second day of voting for your favourite Romantic Couples, with Seeley Booth and Temperence Brennan grabbing 57.27% of the votes to beat Buffy and Spike, but considering Buffy ended so many years ago it was a mighty impressive showing to give the current blockbuster TV hit such a good run. As mentioned before, in the second poll Sawyer & Kate stole the victory from Stefan and Elena by one vote with 50.03% of the votes. Very harsh on Stefan and Elena who ran a fantastic showing, but they exit at the first hurdle against tough opponents...

Todays polls sees Peter Bishop and Olivia Dunham of sci-fi phenomenon 'Fringe' challenging Nate Archibald and Serena van der Woodsen of 'Gossip Girl' as well as Greg House and Lisa Cuddy of medical drama 'House' taking on 'Friends' turned couple Monica Geller and Chandler Bing.

As always goes in these competitions, vote for your favourite and then spread the word around the web so that as many people as possible vote! You have 24 hours to do so... and with that, cast your votes...

  2. I voted for Peter & Olivia as they are brilliant and Fringe makes even a romance dramtic and bizarre.

Also as much as I love House, Chandler & Monica were amazing. Need evidence then go watch the episode where Chandler talks to Erica about why they should adopt her babies... Nuff said really :P

  3. I voted for Peter and Olivia in 1 and I voted for ANYBODY but House and Cuddy in 2. ACK!

  4. Peter And Olivia Of course. They are beautiful, epic, magic and BEYOND UNIVERSES !!
And even if I love Huddy, Mondler are more beautiful

  5. Nate & Serena LOL, i forgot nate even exists

  6. Peter and Olivia, no question. Second one was a bit more difficult, but Chandler&Monica was my first ship ever so I am voting for them.

  7. Yay Peter/Olivia and Mondler :) :) :)

Fun fact: Friends was actually one of the first shows to use a ship name in canon: Ross called Monica and Chandler "Mondler" in one of the later seasons, and it really caught on.

  8. I never got into Fringe, and I always felt that Nate and Serena would have made a good couple. I voted Chandler and Monica over House and Cuddy because I really haven't been happy with the show House lately. I stopped watching for the season when I saw the Vicodin storyline being reused. I hope those writers won't do to House what the Heroes writers and producers did with the character Sylar for three years.

  9. It would be amazing if a Lost couple won the competition!! My bet is on Jate, though...

  10. peter and olivia best romance on tv in a loooooong time.

  11. ^^ THIS!
    Peter & Olivia belong together.

  12. Peter & Olivia! But then again, I think fringe has (besides supernatural) a very large fanbase so i'm betting they'll win. Second for Huddy because I have never seen monica and chandler as a couple, but I actually regret it because house and cuddy together isn't a very great match ;p

  13. not voting on this.

The only real pairing did not make it, sadly.

  14. Gotta go Peter and Olivia. I also had to stick with Chandler BING b/c I always thought they were a better couple then Ross and Rachel.

  15. I do like House/Cuddy, but Monica/Chandler really was one of the greatest tv couples of all time - it's been years and I still love them to bits.

    ReplyDelete
  16. HUDDY
Gregory House & Lisa Cuddy (House)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Choose between Huddy and Mondler....hard.But I'll always go for Friends in the end.Serenate losing.Too bad,but there's still Derena,Dair and Chair to represent GG.

  18. House and Cuddy ! Huddy <3333

  19. oh yesss, that's right =D

  20. Peter and Olivia. BECAUSE THEY ARE SOMETHING ELSE!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Peter and Olivia: they're so cute but their romance is not silly at all ( 'cos many other romances' shows are very silly ^^ )

    ReplyDelete
  22. Peter and Olivia!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I had to go with Peter & Olivia. I'm not much for romance, but despite a few hiccups the writing and mature nature of it is enough to give them my vote.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Peter and Olivia! No doubt ^^

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think that if everybody had watched The X Files, Mulder and Scully would probably win. But since that's not the case, I'd bet on Jate as well.

    ReplyDelete
  26. the Huddy vs Mondler is the hardest one I've ever had to decide on.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Peter and Olivia...the best love story on screen...a very mature and real relationship despite of the "Fringe World"

    ReplyDelete
  28. no no..I strongly disagree do not know .. Huddy!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Peter and Olivia. Sci-fi has the best love stories, and this one is the best I've ever seen.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Peter and Olivia and Monica and Chandler. I used to love House and Cuddy but somewhere along the road she has become so cold that I have lost any warm feelings about the character. I don't want her back with House bacause, frankly speaking, I don't thinks she desrves him. But that's my opinion and I respect all the opposite views.

  31. Peter and Olivia
    Chandler and Monica

Both pairing representing a mature and real relationship. A rare occurence in TV these days. Even LOST which is one of my favourite shows didn't do so well romance wise (the triangle/quadrangle anyone?)

    ReplyDelete
  32. they ruined house and cuddy so I don't even feel compelled to vote for them. shame.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Easy: Peter&Olivia and Chandler&Monica ;)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I love House but hate "Huddy" to death (always have, always will) and have always loved Monice & Chandler together, so easy choice. Huddy don't even count as a couple imo.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm with you on that one, Marcela. Mulder and Scully would win this whole thing if everyone had watched The X-Files.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really adore House and Cuddy together, though I've never be able to lay my finger onto why. There is so much complexity in their relationship, and I just enjoy them.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Forgive me for being a spelling Nazi, Adam, but it's spelled Courteney, not Courtney. Ordinarily it's a forgivable offense, but she's been on our TV sets for twenty collective years (6 Family Ties, 10 Friends, 2 Dirt, and 2 Cougar Town...and I didn't even include Misfits of Science. :-D )

But yeah, the two Friends romantic couples can trump almost any couple in the list.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Am I the only one who thinks "Chanica" sounds better than "Mondler"? Probably.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Monica and Chandler all the way, baby! They had a mature, realistic romance that evolved from a deep friendship. Plus, they never verbally or physically abused each other.

    ReplyDelete
  40. how the hell did nate and serena beat chuck and blair?! LMFAO .. whatever ill still vote for them since they're from gg

    ReplyDelete
  41. OMG, It's a hard decision choosing between Huddy and Mondler

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anxiously awaiting the survey in which participate Lisbon and Jane (The Mentalist) xD

    ReplyDelete
  43. Olivia & Peter and Monica & Chandler. Huddy makes me ill.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I vote for Peter and Olivia, in both Universes

    ReplyDelete
  45. Serena and Nate didn't beat Chuck and Blair, they are up against another couple that hasn't been named yet. After all these small polls are done, the winners will compete against each other, at least that's how I think it works.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Come on people any Gossip Girl Fans out there VOTE for Nate Archibald & Serena van der Woodsen.
Its what the show was surround on at the start VOTE

    ReplyDelete
  47. Aw, I love that Monica and Chanandlar Bong are winning. :D

    ReplyDelete
  48. I prefer "The Bings" to either shipper name..
They did get married in the later years I think. Never really a fan of the series....

    ReplyDelete
  49. Monica and Chandler are my favorite TV couple ever. I'll be voting them through as long as they're in it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. i like them too in GG but Olivia and Peter got my vote >.<

    ReplyDelete
  51. lostrocks4ever5 May 2011 at 09:06

could not vote for any of these couples b/c i do not like any of them
i have said before that i am not the biggest fan of romance and couples in tv (except for a very select few couples) because i often find that romance and tension spoils the dynamics of characters in a great tv show
so, my vote today goes to no one. which is upsetting because the last few rounds of these have pitted the few couples i actually like against each other

    ReplyDelete
  52. IMO the Jack/Kate love story on Lost was the best ever sci-fi love story, but I agree with you. On other shows they just don't matter as much, they aren't as epic because there's not as much at stake.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Peter/Olivia, hands down. They were the couple I originally voted for anyway. Such a great pairing. And I have loved Monica/Chandler for a long time so that's no question!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sorry for House and Cuddy, I love them, but I grew up loving Chandler and Monica...

    ReplyDelete
  55. when will this poll end? I'm always so confused with timezones... D:

    ReplyDelete
  56. They are normally open for 24 hrs. Depending on when Adam has time to
    close the poll.

    ReplyDelete
  57. excuse you but where is the dean and cas poll?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Kay the first one was waaaay easy, but the second one killed me (love them both sooooo much)!
I picked Monica/Chandler for the simplest of reasons: they made it!!!
