So what they're saying is, they don't like the series enough to keep it how it is, but they like it enough to change it? Oddly that is how I feel about the series too. I almost liked it but never connected and quit watching last season. I may check it out next season and see if those changes were enough to make me enjoy it.
I feel similar, but the other side of the coin I guess. I think I would like it if it lived up to its potential. I wanted to like it but honestly, just kinda forgot about it so I quit watching.
I thought it was very telling that, despite Sarah Shahi's appeal and her character's (Kate Reed) cutesie-spunky attitude, it was Virginia Williams' Lauren Reed who was by far the standout character on the show.
When your supporting character outshines the focal point of the show then your program probably needs to address some issues.
Again we agree on both counts. Michael Trucco's character just isn't working. His scenes with Shahi border on grating. As far as Ethan Embry goes, it feels like he was almost shoehorned into the series as an afterthought. Misplaced is a good way to describe it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Creative changes, huh? I'd like to know about those changes.
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly.

ReplyDeleteThe way I read it, it seems like USA likes the show but that the first season didn't live up to it's potential. I feel the same way.

True, plus I didn't feel the chemistry between she and her BSG ex. Ethan Embry was good but seemed misplaced at times.
