  1. NOOOOOOOO!! I really like it! ... I hope it doesn't end on a huge cliffhanger like Flashforward did last year.

  4.  Oh, I'm all but sure that the season ends in a cliff-hanger... Quite possibly with the aliens arriving on our planet... It's unfortunate that these shows end in cliff-hangers...

  5.  It's just a very bad idea to title your series "The Event" and tease the hell out of it only to not show said event until the season/series finale. I assume The Event all the long has been the impending alien arrival..... and tease the hell out of it only to not show said event until the season/series finale. 6.  It's misleading too... the creators themselves have said that the show is not about one single event but a series of events and every season (not possible now) will end with a major event... I don't know if the creators of the show were stupid or they had no co-ordination with the marketing team, but knowing what I know now, the show was doomed from the beginning...

  8. It went on hiatus because its ratings were so bad and still declining, NBC decided to try to revamp it much like ABC did with Flashforward and we all know how that turned out. What NBC should have done was cancelled it brought the premier of THE VOICE or Harry's Law forward. THE EVENT was a show that far outlasted its prime. No surprises it was cancelled, NBC need to start thinking like a business not a charity.

  9.  I hadn't  heard that, but it would have made for a fun series! Too bad.

In retrospect it does seem fairly stupid to call a series "The Event" but have a thematic plan to make it about a series of events each season and then have one new big event each year....

  10. I hope they'l give it a proper ending!

  11.  yes.. it would have been a great series if they had been a little more smart with promotion, not had such a big hiatus and most importantly, if they had better writers... they had good stories, but the writing was just awful...

  12.  well I'm still watching it but can't say I'm sad about this news

  13. Me too. As the show went on, I found myself less and less interested in Leila/Sean/Vicky, not at all interested in Dempsey, but fasinated by what was happening in the White House. I hope the finale plays off that story. The idea that a vice president could attempt to murder a president is so scary.

  14.  Same... I got bored with Sean and Leila originally, but I've enjoyed the Sean/Vicky saga... But I loved the whole White House side of the story!

  15.  Heroes, The Cape, and now The Event...when will NBC just stop trying?

  16.  I get your point, but NBC is responsible for an awesome Thursday night comedy lineup.

  20. I really think there is something wrong with me.  Every time I like a program they take it off the air,  Examples:
Star trek Universe, The Event, Spartacus, The walking Dead. Am I by myself.
